New Missions

Three Hundred and Fourty-Four new missions (344) have been custom-built from scratch, since December 31st of last year.

These stories play out as expanding trees, opening up new content as you pass existing missions and improve relationships with the game's characters.

Many of these new missions are also being natively localized into additional languages, although the Locale support is still in "beta" and on-going.

Capship Capabilities

Capships have been updated in the following ways:

• Capship owners can now change their fighters' loadouts/cargo while still piloting their capship, without docking to a station.
• The "shield" command may be used to remotely determine shield strength and status.
• The "jettison" command can remotely jettison non-ship items from the cargo hold.
• Owners may now see their Capship's remote location and health directly on the HUD, at all times.
• Docking a Behemoth to a Goliath is now substantially easier.
• Swapping any turret during flight will drop shields for five minutes, and disable the swapped turret(s) for five minutes.
• A variety of capship-related reliability bugs and issues were also fixed.

Other Game Tweaks

Many additional features have also been added or adjusted, including:

• Added an option in the Ship Buyback menu to prefer addons already in local storage.
• Added Auto Aim angle stat to blaster-type weapon descriptions.
• Added a 60 second tractor-beam cooldown for crates that you jettison, to avoid accidental re-pickup.
• Implemented an all-new channel 100 Discord relay, now operated by our staff internally.
• Android Play Store IAP prices for non-US currencies were recently updated to the then-current exchange rate.
• NPC capships no longer jump out when their energy is too low.
• Added optional support for Google Login to the Android version, which co-exists with existing cross-platform account information, and can be added to existing accounts.
• Players are now warned of an imminent captcha in certain conditions.
• Game account personal information on the website has been moved to its own separate password-protected page, under Account Info.
• ActivateTurrets is now the standard for turret automation, the usage of the /+Shoot2 command has been limited.
• Android version now defaults to a 120fps frame limit, allowing a high speed refresh rate on devices with supporting screens.
• Fixed issue with Keyboard/Joystick setting not being saved on Android when a gamepad is connected.
• Fixed problems with binds sometimes being lost, due to config file corruption.

Server Side Changes

A massive amount of work over this past year went into server-side development, which has not yet been entirely revealed.

The most obvious effects are the drastically improved sector-to-sector jump times, particularly for players with unusually large and complex inventories.

However, the most significant are how much more capable sectors are, under load extremes. This will likely become more apparent in the coming year. Stay tuned.
