Vendetta Online 1.5.7
Look what they've done to my Prom!
The raptor's "center of fire" is off quite a bit... its shifted to the right. Left port fires almost from the middle, while the right port fires from the middle of the right engine support. Dunno if its supposed to be that way..
Prom nerf!!!! YAAAAAY!!!!!!!
I tried a raptor this morning and I thought the shots were pretty centered. I mean, it's using different ports now (much closer in), but I positioned them equally.. if they're off center, let me know, I'll check into it before the next release.
The Raptor's ports are positioned correctly but there is something strange going on. Every once-in-awhile, I'll get a shot or two that appear to come from the old port locations (usually within the first 3 or 4 shots of a volley).
note: I was using the Plasma Cannon HX.

Anyone care to post exactly what was done to which proms? Or is the wiki already current on this?
-10 thrust and -0.5 spin over the board
Not sure where you got you data, Mr. Spuck, or mine may be out of date...
but the SCP went from 590N thrust to 535N, and 14.5Nm spin to 12Nm.

Looks right to me. My scproms have a thrust of 525 and spin of 11.5 now.
The wiki still contains the old values of 535 and 12.
The 590 may have been a long time ago.

There are two tables. Both are out of date. Not sure which is right, but after flying the SCP (which I do pretty often), it sure doesn't feel like a slight -5% nerf.
[edit: re: edit] (spuck.. sorry on the extensive edit, hehe. you know how it is...)

The first link is horribly out of date. AFAIR 590 was the thrust of the prom when it was originally beefed up. It went through atleast one downgrade in the meantime.
Maybe you are not taking the upped mass of the gt into account?
EDIT: damn you and your editing!

The original beef up of the prom was 640N, 15Nm torque. Also known as "WTF were they thinking proms".
It was fun to fight these guys which actually fly better than the valk :). (Of course these guys were in turned pwned by the uber-centaurs that came with them.)

oh oups .. yeah right. Still better than the "Hey wait for me!" version of before.
Bah who cares ... it's defintely 525/11.5 now though.

I've got a question for all the smart folks out there:
Is it fair when comparing thrust and ship handling to simply do a weight/thrust equation and compare the results?
For instance:
SCP: 10000/535=18.69/kg
IBG: 3200/218=14.68/kg
Or am I way off course?

It's fair. Of course, you have to factor in added mass of battery and weaponry.
If I wanted to nitpick, I could say that you should divide thrust by mass, not the other way round ( the way you did it). Because thrust to weight is exactly that, force divided by mass.
In your case, smaller numbers are better, in the other, smaller (obviously).
