It is for the 5TH...I accidently look at the calendar wrong. Will try to get devs to fix title :)

Maybe this weekend like on the 5th everyone get online around

7-9est July 5th(Saturday Night)

War will be in sector 9 this next time. This will fix the problem of bunching near a dock and a easy kill for people with sunflares. Just need a good time when we can have a good 10v10v10.

Rules: None really...nuke exploit if you want, lay mines, fly in busses(problem with busses is it may hurt your nation's stats dieing a lot). Just try to keep in the war as long as possible. With money so easy to get don't hesistate to ask your teammates for some :)

Awards for MVP of each nation, MVP overall, best ratio(must have 15+ kills), before the war starts people will be allowed to dock and bring in special ships. War starts when everyone is mostly ready or all ready.

Now this is how we start it. Everyone gets into there ships(make sure home is set at 9). Blue nation team sits in sc9-7 portal, Gold Nation sits in sc9-11 portal, Red Nation sits in sc8-11 portal. When everyone is ready and there are no more people in the dock(hopefully everyone listens) I will /explode myself setting off the war. Then everyone flies towards the station and as soon as you see an enemy on your radar well you know what to do from there

:)

The war will end WHEN and only when, two of the nations have 1-2 or less people in the sector. This does not mean that nation won. They only get some addon points for last standing nation.

During the war anyone can join in even if it is started. Just set 9 as home and jump into your ship and go kill. If you start running low on money since I know some people have even done this during the sc13 war. Just ask me and I'll send you 25k-50k. Just keep your ship selection to a min buy.

Occasionally cargo will be emptied into space, this cargo ranges from bot cargo to sc18 like cargo. This is going to be costly on me yes but for the fun it will produce money isn't an issue.

Tell everyone and anyone you know. Lets plan on saturday night.

Point System:

+ Kills x 3
- Deaths
- (Suicides/2)

Last standing nation will get +15 points(basicly 5 kills)...
Jul 01, 2003 Eldrad link
suicides should be -3.5 or -4. If you station nuke and kill two poeple and die that's ok... but if you only get yourself and 1 other you should be marked down. This will also cut down on the flare ramming.
The way you have it now everyone should bind /explode and hit it when they get low on health.

I'll try to make it.
Jul 01, 2003 The Kid link
suicide will count as a death as well, so it's actually -1.5
Jul 01, 2003 StarFreeze link
I keep suicides and deaths seperate. But maybe your right because if someone just suicides them self to get out of a fight...I'll think about it.
Jul 02, 2003 Eldrad link
Kill opponent +3 to you -1 to them net = +4
You kill opponent they kill you +2 you +2 them net = 0
You suicide on an opponent +2.5 you -1 them net = +3.5

result if you can't do better than 8:1 ratio you should rocket ram and issue every time. : (

Sector nine is the devil!
Other than s5 it has the worst system slow-downs ever, and not everyone has machines capable of getting good framerates in there.
Jul 02, 2003 StarFreeze link
Sector 9 is fine...plus if you having graphics problems stop being over 1280x1024 or something like that...you know if you run at 800x600 it'll look the same as 1024x768 or even 1280x1024 for that matter.

Sector 9 doesn't have a big roid for us to fly inside of. THat's why I prefer s13, s11 or s10.
Jul 02, 2003 StarFreeze link
Problem with which sectors you like...

Sector 13: 2 Ports
Sector 11: 1 Port, Bots in outer interference range
Sector 10: 1 Hard to reach port would cause multiple issues, bots would be swarming the roid due to the amount of people we have there.

Great thing about sector 9, 8 ports, roids near by for protection and side attacks, no bots, billboards able to be used to your advantage(mines, hidding, nuking)

it's either gonna be s9 or s7, and s7 only has 2 ports.
s15 is a boring sector to have a war in.

Yesterday I had a long firefight with a blue in s14 and it rocked. We were dodging around ice shards, boosting at top speed through the cracks in the giant ice roid then whipping around and firing a volley of rockets where we thought the other would follow. Don't know if the bots and single port station would make it a good place for a war, but I find s14 certainly has some of the most interesting tactical environments.
Jul 02, 2003 StarFreeze link
It is a nice environment but the problem is like you said the 1 port and the bots make it so you have to stay in that little area or you will be chased and shot at.
