Staleness

THATS what the server is running on? Good job!

I agree with the staleness issue, a friend of mine actually just stopped playing (though he said he will try again after the next update) because of exactly that. Right now the game consists of a bunch of tri-flare-valk happy itani running about shooting things, and the rest of us dodging said itani. Personally, I've been pirating to keep myself busy, as I'm sure others have. Additionally, with the home sectors fairly off limits (one person will get owned by those nasty def bots), the universe is a lot smaller, leading to more boredom. The only plus side is there's less places for my victims to run =D

I trust the devs are working on this as fast as possible and will make it worth the wait.

We use whatever hardware we have available. Andy/a1k0n's workstation is a P3 550, just like the game server (which is a 550 not a 450). We're a tiny little independent game company, funded on a shoestring. But, on the other hand, using older hardware makes for more optimized code! Or at least that makes us feel better about it :).

On the "staleness".. In my opinion, the game has always been pretty boring. It used to be better balanced (but less complex), yet still boring. I mean, really, the gameplay that's there is pretty simplistic and trivial. It was mostly a bunch of simple concepts to make the "engine" more fun than just.. flying around. Now that we're actually working on gameplay features, hopefully the game will become a bit more interesting. I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Don't let incarnate fool you. They're not just funded on a shoestring, they're funded on a certain member of their company's shoestring... So go press that PayPal button! I would, but no credit card and no access to one. :(

So they're still on the shoestring-sized stack of funds?
It hasn't dwindled down to the size of a strand of dental floss yet?
