I don't know what you (mod) think I was complaining about but, given context, you're saying that I'm complaining about directly insulting people. I couldn't care less. I just think people should stop thinking that the guides are there to be moral police.

I'm lost too. I deleted a post because the author referred to somebody as "...kind of a dick...", but didn't note who the author was and assumed that the post Nytemare was complaining about having deleted was that one. ::Shrug::


Edit: Oooh, I see where the confusion is. Okay I'm with you regarding your overall point. You're right, of course, but if you post a message that includes calling somebody a "dick", it's going to be deleted regardless of how good the post is.

But the reason "This stuff keeps happening to.." you is that you persist in breaking the forum rules. We can't edit your posts, but YOU can. Why must we edit you when you could simply alter your behavior and get your point across in a constructive manner?

It doesn't invalidate it, but it does get it deleted so nobody can read it, which is nearly the same.

Good point mod. But I still think you should be able to <snip> or something. Maybe handle it like everything2 and allow your killed posts to be viewed by you alone. That way you can clean it up and post what remains. Too many good ideas are getting deleted....well...too many of MY good ideas are getting deleted : P
