yeah lets just tell the noobs to ram the ice roids in s8 you get into the station that way. lol actually that seems like fun to me. /explode while flying towards the roid and you get to the station even faster, expecially with cargo, lol. i wonder if anyone would do that because a vet told them to?

I didn't believe it either until I looked. The log says "ERROR! THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN". Just lucky timing in some race condition, it looks like. Not gonna fix right now since we're rewriting the relevant parts.

Yeah, Waylon actually did define a station in 8, or you wouldn't be able to spawn at all. I think he defined it just so his pricing generator has prices to use for widgets coming from/going through there. But obviously there is no physical position for it -- no dock/spawn zones, so it goes to the origin. The back-end code doesn't check that before letting you into the station, and when you want to launch from it, well, then it just gives up and uses the origin.

you are saying that the station is for the cargo that we get off bots? thats it? hmmmm..... cool. lol if Blaster ever leaves s8 station and you see it, you might wanna kill him, he might have some really good cargo. lol no offense blaster

if there is a station in s8 then it is prolly not visible it is prolly an ice crystal or something without a hangers. i am curious about this station because in s9 look at all the cargo 1 of them says primarily manufactured in s8 so i think there might be a station in s8 or just a bug maybe the station is in the ice crystal.

There is no physical station there. There is an interface for the sector that users cannot access, and attached to that is a "store" interface that was created at the same time as the others but is not used and normally is not accessible to users. Blaster's account underwent an unusual event and the server homed him in 8. It is not possible to get there through normal means and the event cannot be initiated by a user.

why was the sector 8 "interface" made if no users are able to access it

The store interface was made at the same time as all the others. It was just simple to do all of them at once.
