Demolishion derby!
Ok, fun stuff.. we carried this out in 13 last night.. a few rules to it, and sanctioned derbies(rather those I run at least) have small cash prizes, next time might be a few precious cargo.. not sure, but anyway
Guidelines:
1. Stock bus with gun REMOVED. This is to prevent you accidently going against #2
2. Only the officating party(ies) can mount weapons. During large derbies it is suggested this be equal numbers from each team, with one person gaurding each of the three exits frem the "arena" and possibly others on standby to prevent people coming in to get easy prey with the buses(as we had last night) or bots getting into the arena. Should someone in the derby fire weaponry they are disqualified and taken out by one of the officating crew.
3. Derby goes on inside the large cavern in the 13 roid(similar to sector 7). Participants can not leave this area once the derby has started unless they are eliminated. After which they are allowed to watch from one of the openings.
4. Objective is to ram, to eliminate the competition. An issue or Destroyed by(provided it is not due to weapon fire) is elimination(of the person killed). Last bus flying wins. Should it be a tie, the prize is given(without reduction) to each of the winning parties, unless its in the tourney I have planned later provided the idea takes.
5. Anyone interfering in derbies will be unable to participate in future tourneys(as the first one I am planning on a 5 million prize package, 4 for the winner, 750k to the second and 250k to the third) if you are often strapped for cash you may not want to interfer.
Occasionally bots enter the arena during a derby(had one enter last night) please avoid the bot until it can be destroyed(hopefully the officating crew can keep it from entering in the first place), but only reset of destroyed craft is allowed when players interfer.
Suggestions:
Officating crew only mount energy and seeking(preferably low yeild)weapons. This will keep down on damage of buses.
Anyone care to add their input? It was both funny to watch as well as fun to fly in last night.

I had a good time (as Shepherd). I think the rules are good, but you might want to consider cash bonuses for kills awarded.
That may be, however hopefully in future ones itll be single elimination to make the derbies go a bit faster.
May do ones that does it that way with something like 50k-100k per kill.. but with the fact you can ram them into the wall and they issue you gotta have enough watching to note who makes who issue.

Yes, a few times when ive been on and connection stable I have sent open notices that should there be enough(need at least 5 people really) a derby will be held, with a prize rangeing from 150k-500k depending on number of participants
