I've suspended the BountyBot Lotto until I have time to implement a game that's less vunerable to being "bought" by a very wealthy player.

There are some good suggestions in the "BountyBot Lottery Tuesday" thread.

Since I'm very busy at work right now, I'm not sure I'll be able to implement these changes by Saturday. Instead of letting another massive and unfair drawing take place, I'll be refunding all of the lotto purchases except for two.

a1k0n, who bet 1 billion (and ok'ed the cancel)
and Sam, who bet almost that much (and also ok'ed the cancel)

Their bets will be used to sweeten the jackpot for the first of the new game. Refunds for everyone else will be put into your bank accounts.

The other functions of the BountyBot will continue normally.

All purchases for the Saturday Lottery have been refunded now.

What I want to know is why did Sam win twice. So unfair... There should be anti-double-winner thingies to prevent that!

Sam won twice because he effectively "bought" the lottery. For the 2nd lotto, he had something like 90% odds. He did contribute 90% of the money, but I didn't anticipate that one or two players would be able to put 1 million TIMES more credits in than other players.

I don't want to prevent sequential winning, because that would prevent money from coming back into the lotto. Keep in mind that the same players messing up the odds are the ones driving the jackpot up so far. The trick is to encourage them to spend while keeping the playing field more level.

if you put in a mill on a 2mill lottery, then your chance of winning that is 50%, and when you have 3 prices, then you have mucho chance :D

Except only 50% of money goes to current lotto. Whatever. But it's annoying and unfair.

yea i agree...i think it should be 90% should go to the current lotto, 8% goes to the next lotto, and 2% which is still more than enough can go to the bountybot.

Now why I think it should be 90% is one main reason...you are putting in your money for THAT lotto...because lets say i put in 1mil in and lose it on the current lotto...now 450k of my money is in the next lotto but i don't have any tickets so now i have to spend money AGAIN just to play yet my money is in the next lotto. So I think if your gonna do this next lotto thing it should eather be at like a 8% or if you do 50,45,5,,,,make it so that the person gets tickets for the next lotto...based on thier amount of money.
