Just curious if there are any new ship designs in the works.

New/more ships (and the lack there of) are one of the most commonly lamented aspects right after the broken economy and the extremely broken beyond any rational belief faction system.

The devs are planning redoing a couple of the seriously ugly ships, but... who knows when.

Ships like the EC, Revenant, Raptor, and the CapShips look great. More like those please.

I believe the current ships up for a re-do are the Ragnarok and the Centaur.

they should add 2 new ships rather than mess with 2 existing, tried-and-true ships. It would be a pity to have the Rag or the Centaur facelifted, when we should have 2 new ships. You might like or dislike the look of the Cent (and the Rag) but they are appreciated by the player base.
Just think back to the wraith or the original bus.

Eddy, I believe the idea is it is easie/takes less time to work with existing ships. However, I do agree that adding actual new ships is a better (though currently less practical) way to go.

We've been working on both replacing existing ships, as well as bringing in new ones. I don't have a timeframe though, right now. Capship availability and Android stuff are my two biggest to-dos.

Can I have an old-style Wraith? In pink. I owe someone a replacement.

He's talking about mk1, mk2, and mk3 wraiths, methinks.

Specifically, Obsidian's pink collector's edition wraith (The one that looked like a crab with an underbite) that I crushed in a Behemoth docking attempt gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I'm sure she hasn't gotten over it yet.
