I haven't taken time off since January of 2008, and the timing is advisable from a bizdev perspective, so it's probably not a bad idea. Personally, I need a hammock near a beach, snorkel & fins, and a steady supply of drinks with too much rum or tequila for it to count as vacation. Oddly, the last time that happened was January 2008. You weren't in Cancun, were you? At the swim-up bar?
