Virus Issue
When I tried to play today Norton reported that it had removed “vendetta.rtb” because it had found a threat, “SONAR.Heuristic.120”. I removed VO completely, downloaded it again and installed it. When I opened it I got the same result. Norton had removed vendetta.rtb because of the SONAR threat. Has anyone else encountered this? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Suggestion: Remove Norton.
It sucks.

Well, I uninstalled VO and reinstalled it yet again. I found a way to go into Norton and exclude the VO folder. I think I'm back up and running. I have no idea why it happened today, I have had both VO and Norton running for 2 years. Perhaps something in the update triggered it.
I used google:
Heuristic means that it's not detecting an actual identified virus, just behavior that it thinks might be a virus (i.e. certain ways to check itself or install, or a similar line of cde etc).
So it lends itself to false positives.
If the Heuristic alerts go off, and you are 100% sure of the source, then you're safe to ignore it.
And yes, norton antivirus software sucks and is not worth the trouble it gives you.

I haven't had a virus for 8 years.
Incidentally, I stopped using anti-virus software 8 years ago.
...and norton is terribaadddddddddddd

AntI-Virus software can only protect you against known threats. If you're a safe browser that doesn't use an administrative account for everyday tasks, then AV software won't do much for you other than waste resources.
Suggesting that people have no AV at all is silly, especially in the Windows world. Sure, I have no AV on my Windows PC, but that's me.

Appreciate the comments, everything is back up and running. Actually, I use several AV programs so fortunately Norton isn't my only resource for that.
I did learn something out of this exercise though. I saved my Plugins folder before I uninstalled VO but it sure would have helped if I had saved the wgaf file. Live and learn, lol.

Using multiple AV programs gets you a slow computer and false positives.
