I was wondering how many of us are on dialup. The devs have done a good job at getting Vendetta playable over a modem connection IMO, and I look forward to the final product.

I am one of these dialup users, and as long as my wife isn't online, then everything plays fine. But if she's even just surfing the lag makes combat difficult. If she fires up paltalk, that's it.. I lag so bad that flying in a home sector becomes jerky and unpredictable, and have even experienced lag-related crashes. Any other dialup users experiences?

I think it's safe to say that doing anything online that's realtime and graphics-intensive is going to bog down if you are sharing a dialup connection.

Not a complaint really. I expected it to happen, and was wondering what's happened with other users on dialup. I prefer playing when wife isn't around anyhow, games are just more fun that way.

I played on dial up for the longest time...

Same here. I used lag to my advantage in Rogue Spear. Get the shot off and back in before my connection could send the signal, and the other guy would die. =P

i'm stuck with dialup, and vendetta runs pretty good. I regularly get pings down in the mid 100's range (130-170) which is a vast improvement over what I got when playing games like BF1942, Unreal Tournament, homeworld and Dungeon Siege, where i'd be lucky if my ping was less than 400.

all in all, great job devs.

btw, shoo sovereign, shoo, this thread is for dialup users.

you think your 400+ is bad? i get pings above 3000 in UT for some reason.... almost every other game gives me 150-350 (and ive got UT set up correctly...). Vendetta usually keeps me in the 200s.

Good job keepin the game playable with dial up devs! Please keep it up.
