Would some kind-hearted plugin wizard be able to write a plugin for me to use during the Blargian BoomFests? All I need it to do is write to chat any kills in the sector I am in (who kills who).

The group size limit makes tracking kills via a group a little tedious with more than one group. I know there are plugins that can do this, but they require everyone to have it installed. I need on that works with just me having it installed.

This currently is not possible, because the game doesn't send any sort of notification when people die. At best, we could have a plugin that records deaths and kills within a group. You'd still have to have multiple groups with one person in each group running the plugin, and then you'd have to combine the data.

Suggestion thread that would make the plugin you want a possibility.

Hmmm. Well, I can still manage with group notifications, it just requires a lot of cross referencing. I believe my first "quick-tally" last night counted some kills/deaths twice. Going through the errors logs for FC and TAD now to get an accurate count.

I suggest you appoint a co-host to run a plugin along with you that outputs group kills to chat so you can tally them, extending your limit to 16 players, or possibly two if you need more room.

Thanks for the ideas folks. I think I have a handle on how to manage it now, and can handle up to 14 players, not counting myself or TAD.

That would mostly work. The rules of the event don't consider kills of/by non-participants to count, though, and your solution doesn't provide a way to distinguish. The rules would have to be changed to count all PKs for the most-kills award, and all deaths (even from NPCs or /explode) for the most-deaths award.
