He helped me quite a bit when I first started. He was an asset to the community we have here.

I'm only a fairly new player; I met him for the first time a couple months ago. He asked if I needed some items, some of them expensive, and I thought he was a trader, so I said I didn't have much money. He gave me the stuff and a million credits. :) He was my most favorite player ever. I want to have at least one character, if not my main, that tries to do just what he did, someday.

I am fairly new to the game and never met ninjr but from what you are all saying he was a top notch guy. As a mark of respect for him EMS should be left well alone to get on with their jobs from now on.

I am saddened by this news. I did not get to fly with Ninjr to frequently but he was always so friendly and nice when we crossed paths!
It would be great to have an in game memorial for this wonderful Player and person.

P.S. it might be nice if the npc had Ninjr's hail "Greetings from the Texas Division of EMS" I think I may have left out the fly safe part but I can't quite remember the correct hail.

Ninjr was universally liked and respected, as much or more than any other player I can think of. That's extremely rare and difficult in this community. He will be missed.

He and I always chatted over PMs about nearly everything; it made my time online quite pleasant. Ninjr was one of my original beta testers for Navcomp and Cargolist and both plugins are better for his suggestions.

There was a game I used to play called Warbirds that when one of our own died, we'd all collect at a point in the map to do one huge mission (particularly volcano diving), and one of the AIs were always named after the person. I agree with the others in that some kind of persistent NPC with his name would be fitting, especially if the NPC could be made to behavior with anything remotely close to his personality. (I really like the suggestion of a Trident announcing the location of Rogue queens and jumping in to help out) I know it's been said by others, but I'll miss my conversations with him.

Thanks for the link to the obit, Inc. I never knew what he looked like. Now I finally have a face to go with the personality, and they actually fit.

One of the greatest to play the game...

I nearly had the opportunity to meet him in real life. I had a soccer game in the park next to his neighborhood and he was planning on attending. It was the time this year that the big floods were happening in Texas and our game was moved about an hour away. Always disappointed me that we missed each other.

The repairing capship is a good idea for a memorial. I would suggest a big one so that new players can ride around UIT space a bit too without blocking others from docking. The auto-firing repair turrets would round out the idea nicely.

+1 harpo's idea... if it would drop a few UCs when a new player under a certain level docs and undocks would be a plus.
