It would seem to me that it would be in Guild Software's best interest to not allow any type of "conversion" option because it would draw in more subs. Also, precedence has been that we've never been able to convert lesser models into better models. The only argument for doing it with a Trident is to avoid more grind - as though an express pass to future variants has been earned or something.

In my mind if you are currently a Trident M captain, you already have the advantage of better and more protect hauling capability.

That said, it would be nice to know Incarnate's thoughts on the matter if he feels like sharing them.
