Does voice chat work on ANY platform?

Yes, it works on all platforms except ios. I've had a couple of old android phones that I didn't have any luck with but my current phone (galaxy s4) let's me use voice chat.

I have a Samsung S7. It doesnt let me enable voice chat. Strange that it would work on an S4 and not the S7? Would really like to be able to use it while playing on my phone. Im trying to get a friend of mine into the game and I like playing with a controller more than on my PC.

PCs, to an extent (depending on how old) handle *everything* about the game better than your little phone. Graphics & graphics memory, RAM, processor power, wifi cards (also has the upside of having Ethernet), ease of controls, and the ability to not look like a prat in public places.

Jesus. I play on my pc occasionally, but I can't lay in bed watching TV and play VO on my pc. Also... Gear VR. On my Pc I use my Saitek X52 for Elite and SC. I like that I can play this game in my bed or on the couch. Sorry that that offends you fellas.

I would think making sure it works on the latest Samsung phones should be important to the gear vr release. It will be cumbersome at best to try and communicate in game whilst using gear vr if we have to use a controller to move a mouse cursor to select letters on a keyboard. Chat is a big part of playing and if you can't communicate it's going to ruin some of the immersion.

We just received an S7 last week, so we'll see about testing it. There's only so much we can do, unfortunately, since the voice chat content is 3rd-party and we don't have the source code, but we'll take a look.

Possibly hosting through a 3rd party server that caters to Mobile users such as Discord (https://discordapp.com) could fix the problem. I plan to use Discord with the small group of users I'm bringing to the game since it's free and reliable until the ingame voice chat is fixed.

Fixed as of tonight's release. If anyone continues to have issues with voice chat on Android, please let us know on the Bugs Forum.
