If you used your VO email address.. it was not in my list. MailChimp is double-op-in, so you have to confirm it as well, on the respective address.

[EDIT] I still don't see you on the mailchimp list, so I sent another Oculus key-code to your VO email of record. If you want to be on the actual list though (and we will probably send out some emails about changes), you'll have to subscribe to that yourself.

I received the key around midday yesterday, local time, after re-submitting my email (the same one you sent the key too). Not sure why it's not registering.

VO via the Gear VR is amazeballs, incidentally, I am loving it :) Is there a specific place to post bugs/suggestions/etc, or is the Bugs/Suggestions forums here OK?

Also, am I correct in believing the Gear VR should be able to sync with my PC, so I can play via PC controls, but using the Gear VR headset/head-tracking? I picked up a Bluetooth dongle today to experiment, but if it can not be done, better to know before I get all frustrated ;)

EDIT: Seems 3rd time's a charm, got the confirmation near immediately this time.

So, there's a specific thread linked from the email for discussion on GearVR. Glad it's working well :).

As for hooking it up to your PC, I've never heard of that? I mean, you can certainly hook a keyboard up to an Android device natively (bluetooth being easiest), but you can't do "regular" mouse control without a custom USB driver, which is why we've never thought much of mouse-usage on Android.

I personally like using the Rift with the mouse+keyboard, because I know the keys by touch and so on. But for the GearVR, the best option we've experienced is just with a high-quality bluetooth game controller, like a SteelSeries Stratus XL.

There are a few vague YT vids about playing PC games via the GearVR. Seems to involve 2+ 3rd party apps. So far, I am sticking with "native" VO:VR. I figure I should ignore plugins while its in beta.

So far, I have found no "bugs", but a few areas that need attention (mostly situational awareness/graphics related). Over all, it is fantastic :)

I would advise new purchasers to avoid "mini" controllers (like the MadCatz L.Y.N.X.3 I have). It works great, but it's a little small for comfort.

Faille: you can get a bluetooth keyboard working with VO and GearVR. Ive using my old Zagg case from my ipad and it worked well.

And yes, VO is like a whole new game on GearVR!

OK I have the Note 7 and Gear VR 2016. I believe all the hardware and software for this combo is exactly the same as the S7 and previous GearVR headser. So I am assuming the game will run fine? Anycase best to give me a beta key so I can test it for you if you haven't already *wink wink* lol

Is there any chance that this might be released for generic 3d use?
I'm thinking Google Cardboard or any of the generic vr phone headsets that are on the market...
I'm going to upgrade to an S7 and Gear later on, when my phone contract is due, but given the amount of kit coming on the market I'dlove a go!
Thanks very much..

I can't really promise "generic" VR support at this time. The game is really performance-intensive, and as a result it requires a low-level API, that is stable and we can access via C++.

Everything is evolving very quickly.. be it things like Google's "Daydream" (basically next-gen Cardboard), or other solutions, so it's hard to say what will be available / possible in six months or a year.
