Holy crap, Pyro's right. Guild sure wouldn't make much money that way. There's got to be a better place that'll make these things up maybe they could find a cheap place to print them up, then make an ebay store or a paypal store and sell them. Looks like paypal takes about 3%. They also have a Paypal subscribe service which would be convenient for pay-to-play if that ever happens.

And as far as the artwork goes, I'm sure Guild has their own artist.

Finally they see the light about making a profit on merchandise. Thanks for doing the specific legwork though. Truly, the way profit is made is through volume, volume, volume.
Yes, guild has it's own artists. The shirt/cafe press idea has already been provided, twice, with no previous agreement for consulting fees - tooo late now! ;)

Are you saying there used to be a Vendetta t-shirt?
Jan 03, 2004 Forum Moderator link
Er, no, sorry about that. Omitted a word and screwed up the whole thing. Nope, no shirts have been offered.

jub0r, there is a place that does cheaper... www.atlaspen.com has mugs for about $2, and their other prices are a lot better... The only problem is that there's a minimum order, and a setup fee...

errrr, my cousin has his own t-shirt printing business, perhaps i should ask him about prices?
give me full details and i will get the ball rolling

Well, most of my day has been co-opted by a wood-chopping job, but after that I'll finish the Valk up. It actually looks okay, which is surprising.

Okay. Here's the first image. Little more than a simplified line-by-line trace of the bitmap.

What would you like to see change? More black lines? Less? More stylized? Less? Let me know!

Good except the big giant black patches on the wings don't work for me.

What should I do with them? Darker? Lighter? Add a skull and crossbones? :)

/me loves it

Skull and Crossbones. Definitely.

Turn the valk into a maud and you've got a deal.

the 2 black patches and the window don't look 3d-ish enough.

The Maud is... tough, but I think I can do it. My next project however is closer to my heart: The Serco Prometheus.

I can probably fix the cockpit with a split to a slightly lighter or darker color, but working with the black patches is harder. I can easily (and will) make a Pirate Valkyrie, though.

Pirate valkyrie would rock!

This is just a 5-minute piratification, with EC-88 trophy-stencils all over it. :)

The EC-88 itself can be found here:

Note that all the ship models have been built in Studio Max...

Everyone ask Waylon nicely and he may render out a high quality perspective of a valk/prom/maud for you...

ctishman: could you please post a vector file for me to play with? FHMX or even a basic EPS? Cheers

Actually, in the end I used Flash, as its environment is more condusive to quick sketching and correction of shapes that generally conform to bezier curves or straight lines. I can post a .sit and .zip of FLA and Macromedia EPS.

Very cool ctishman but the Pirate VAlk needs an underside Chin Gun that should stick-out at that angle, this would be an odd Valk to not mount that underside gun.

I still like the idea of merchadise even if consultants fee is out of the question!
