He's new and he made 1.2 M in profit - let him glory in it.

And how much did you buy them for? You forgot to subtract the expenses from that 1.2m line.

You don't want to lose the tax writeoff.

Is 6 months(ish) new still? I guess compared to you and me Whistler, that is kind of "new", but compared to some, that is quite a long time!

And Joyless, the game takes into account the bought price when showing the "profit". Of course you would know this if you played more than 5 minutes a month. Escorts moths and stealing the cargoes IS a great way to make millions though; I once copped a convoy full of Advanced rails. and made about 9 mill in less time that it takes to run a few escort missions. Hounds play great for this!

Ofc, I prefer shooting (insert name of trade guild here) and making them lose the cargo. Heck, I don't even bother to collect all the loot these guys drop, more fun to make sure nobody else gets it :) that stuff sells for millions too!

"the game takes into account the bought price when showing the "profit"

that's not correct, it doesn't when you are selling stuff you loaded in space (even if you bought it.)

Well, I guess I'm not a trader so must have missed that one. Guess I won't be much of anything now that I found out Blaqk is actually Whistlers brother though. No wonder we get censored so much when we bring these two up.

Sad thing is, I know whistler is one of VO's oldest players now, but wasn't he like 5 when he was made a guide? Must make you feel special too Nihilus. Guess you got to find out a lot about VO in a very short time. Dang.

Can ya'll do me a favour and delete every post I ever made? I really do not want to be a part of a game where the lead developer does not give a shit about it's long term supporters, nor any of his other players. From what I gather he could not care less if any of us actually played right now, and we should be all just happy that we still can.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but no doubt nobody will ever get to see it anyway.

Bullshit, Yoda log in and clue me in.

So, Yoda is blowing a gasket because Whistler deleted a mildly insulting, not-real-funny "funny quote" of his, which means there must be an EVIL DEVELOPER CONSPIRACY OF BIAS.

All that happened here was the deletion of a "Funny Quotes" post, that's it (and I support Whistler's decision, enforcing the Be Nice policies). Yoda's reaction seems a little excessive.

But, since he brought it up: Being a long-term player does not entitle you, at some point, to behave like a jackass. It's not like you can go to a pub every day, for a decade, and then eventually that makes it ok to set the pub on fire.

Hopefully someday Yoda will calm down and realize this was all rather dumb. But, if not, we wish him the best in life.

Is Yoda's statement correct re: Whistler making moderating decisions that favor a family member of his? I'm confused whether VO's forums have been replaced by a shitty soap opera or something, but that seems like a problematic piece of optics, regardless of whatever ex post support you choose to lend the decision.

Not only is Blaqk Whistlers brother, but Yoda is my sister and I am tsreknor's mother in law.

To simplify Greenwall's response.. "No".

Yoda's just extra bitter about this, for some reason that eludes me, and his "sarcasm" is dialed up to 11.

Cool, figures.

Just to make a clean sweep of it: None of my family or friends play VO.
