We've got some interesting responses from members associated (not official owners or employee's of the company) from the Ambroisa Software forums. They recommended the members of Guild software e-mail the president of Ambroisa Software, Andrew Welch, for something official. Below I have included both the discussion thread and Andrew's e-mail:

Thread URL: http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum60/HTML/001635.html

Andrew's E-mail: andrew@ambrosiasw.com

P.S. I didnt have any Guild Software developers' e-mails, so i thought i would convey this info here :D

Cheers,

There's not a chance Ambrosia will publish Vendetta, sorry.
I've been with the company and known its employees for years, trust me, I know.

EDIT: I was right. Ambrosia has turned publishing Vendetta down.

Have they tried Activision yet?

Someone wanna give me a link to them turning down publishing Vendetta? :P

Archon, you worked for Ambrosia? Sweet...

"Methinks we should've gotten the devs' permission... :-\"

*AgY nods.
If youre publisher, and someone comes begging for you to help someone. You will never accept. Because it will make you untrustworthy. If you do, everybody will come with his small pice of soft and beg.
I had this problem once(in an other realtion). And it was one of the awkwardest things i ever had to survive. It makes you lose your self-respect.
Youre makeing guildsoft more problems then you solve if you beg.

"Archon, you worked for Ambrosia? Sweet..."
Oh, no, I don't. I've just been around them for years now, testing apps, talkin'.. you know. Stuff.

It's quite simply why they don't like this game, no search button for the forum so the forum users over there can't say:
"USE THE FRIGGIN SEARCH BUTTON"

There was never a snowball's chance in hell of ASW taking Vendetta...ASW is a singleplayer off-line game (not counting Ares Online) and ASW has always been a hard sale. I would have collapsed from shock had ASW taken on Vendetta.

Good news is tho, i heard of the game from the Ambrosia website, so if we just get some ppl mentioning it, that would help too.

Avara, pop-pop and Redline are games that have the option of playing via the internet.
the former two are already out, the latter is in development.
to say that Ambrosia neglect the internet gaming component of game development is to underestimate their skills.

i do agree, however, that in my opinion ASW is not likely to publish vendetta.

Yeah, and the chance they would wasn't exactly doubled my zamzx's quite.. dumb post.
I mean, zamzx's post had nothing in it but the text "sav vendeta" and Incarnate's post at the News section in it. 90% of the people over at Ambrosia's boards haven't even HEARD of Vendetta. Should you have any chance of anyone donating, let alone Ambrosia publishing Vendetta, you should at least explain WHY this game is extraordinary, WHY it needs to be saved and WHY Ambrosia Software should publish it. Oh, and proper grammar would help. :/

.. that said, the thought was good, zamzx, even though you probably blew the microscopic chance of Ambrosia Software publishing Vendetta.
Jan 09, 2004 crazydeb8r link
No, he didn't.

Vendetta IS fairly well known over at Ambrosia. The fact is, there was never a chance, however microscopic, the ambrosia would publish vendetta. It's not their game style, nor their format. vendetta cannot be shareware. period. Basically, only one player games can, and they make thse. So this is out of the question.

Anyone try interplay?

They are the publishers to the Descent series.

they might be a great place to publish (or at least try). I mean, they could tout Vendetta as a massive mmorpg Descent, only different ships. It already looks the part (all you need is the fighter for nostalgia).
