Quick question regarding the goli grid nerf
Are you happy with it or not?
+1 If you are happy

-1 makes goli useless cant defend itself and therefore how is it multi role?

2 capswarms and a gauss/firecracker are more than enough defenses.

+1. Now there is an offset to the acceleration advantage.
The Goliath is still capable of outfitting 3 turrets, just not 3 capitol turrets.
Example load outs:
CapRail, 2 gems, Tu mine
Caprail, Gem, FireCracker, Mega Posi
CapSwarm, Gem, Gauss, Gat
2 Capswarm, Neut, TU Mine
3 Gem, Mega-Posi
and so on.
You guys act like the CapSwarm is the only turret in existence.

It is not like homing missiles are that effective against smaller ships (unless I fly into them lol), and I can de-shield a Trident just as quick as I can a Goliath (Jackhammers stacked, not swarms. Less perfect timing needed). There should be some advantage for the extra build time of a Trident and the extra HP/Shield strength really makes no odds if flown/defended poorly. A Goliath shouldn't be a match for the Trident, in fact, all it should be is a stepping stone to the bigger cap ship.
Want to equip more missiles? Use the Goliath to build a Trident.

+1 they should decrease goliath cargo space too , That will be good :)
yes and remove dents all together too

Two cap swarms on a goli can deshield a dent still but now the goli owner equipped with two cap swarms won't be able to plink rails from distance. That means choices have to be made, and choices are a good thing in VO.

Even tho i was in game lol
devs++. They listened and contemplated on the balance and decided that it would be better to nerf the goliath for now. As with any game, balancing its components is an interative process, and if your upset with the change, then okay, i understand. But its done now, so bring your energies elsewhere. Plenty to do in VO, after all.
Could care less. Anything to reduce the whining. Golis are easy to kill and now they just got easier.
Couldn't care less (ftfy) if you could care less you do care, semantics aside

Things change, and ships tend to be the most controversial. Heck, back in 2004 centurians could infinitely turbo @ 240ms, and the corvus vult had a turbo speed of around 275ms with a normal manouvering speed of 90. Trust me, long term you should all be happy they got nerfed (I cried a lot at the time) and given time this will be accepted too.

This was a positive move; thanks, Devs!

+1 its intended purpose is multi role, not a heavy defensive freighter.
