Eh, nevermind.

Err, it seems like only yesterday the issue was TOO MUCH money and everyone was bored and killing because money was meaningless.

Incidentally, my ISP at home was down for 2 nights, so I was unable to be in game until now. I'm back on tonight.

Yesterday night (at least night here in Alaska) the situation boiled over and flames arouse here, on the boards. For that I apologize for, I violated my own rule of coolling down before replying. For that I am greatly sorry.

However, the game has sunken a great level since the reset as piracy has become the way of making money to fund your craft and this has led to mass outrage and factions inside nations forming. Until this problem is fixed, the SDF is withdrawing support from the Serco Dominion, Itani Nation, and Neutral Territories as the SDF is being seen as a pirate's guild itself.

The problem now is the lack of money being made by people from trading and botting. Too many people are broke and are doing anything for money. As soon as money stops being an issue, the factions and piracy will probably lessen a great deal. As soon as players are able to purchase ships and not worry about losing them in "fair" fights then I think that the galaxy will slowly heal to it's pre-reset self.

Hey Vendetta Palyers,

I tried to say this yesterday around 9:50 (GMT -5) over IRC, but it seems some people did not understand it. Mabey 01 does becuase we actually talked about it. I talking about how the community has grown. Ever since the reset the community has been getting worse, even I noticed myself insulting people and I am sorry if I did. I think we should stop the insults and just talk about the game, duels and just have fun (This includes Message Board, IRC and In-game chat). In my point of view Vendetta Test, was build for testing and people having fun, but now it seems it no more fun becuase people keep insulting each other. Not all people...I know some that dont do it at all. One of the examples is yesterday with the -SM-s and me. I started get mad at them, they insulted me and I insulted back which was the wrong thing to do. So my point just is that we should stop the insulting and just have fun on Vendetta, not get angry....and well till that is fixed I will be leaving Vendetta...

Well I have temporarily removed myself from the game because of the community, I have not been around for weeks and I doubt I will be back any time soon. There have been posts about the community’s problems dating back way b4 the reset as well. Eventually the devs will make game play changes to correct people’s behavior, until then, if you are feeling this angry about it I really think you should take a break. No matter how rude people are it is still a game, if you find yourself getting angry just take a break.

Don't count on it, Durgia. People will do what people can do. The only thing limiting them is the rules of the game. The devs can't "correct people's behavior." Those given over to exploiting will always find a way. Those given over to "cowardly tactics" will always use them. Fact of life. Not everyone plays fair.

I am talking about verbal attacks and insults which the devs can make game play changes to fix. Peoples tactics no matter how annoying are part of the game. Verbally attacking people is not part of the game.

The sooner in-game chat channels are implemented the better. You'd be surprised how fun it is to play the game with the chat turned off right now. *gasp* You actually play the game!

Like SirCamps made note of in another thread... If people were to treat each other better (even the assholes they don't like) the vast majority of players would eventually come around. Everyone keeps feeding the trolls flame cookies... Serco Fighter 1 and myself (01) actually talked the other night.. Sworn enemies who were joking around and being civil to each other... I think many people have lost sight of where the characters end and real life begins, myself included... I will try my best to keep my razzing to a PG-13 nature in the future.. If Serco Fighter and 01 can be civil to each other what is your excuse?

[rude flamey post deleted, albeit late]

I'm not interested in people's "reasons" for rude posts. Don't do it here. At all. Ever. Go to another board where they permit flames. See "Community Sites" to the left for a fine selection of fan sites.

Guys, Drop it! Just drop it now! Don't egg each other on, don't respond at all because nothing anyone can say can make it anything but worse. Don't even respond to this message. Enough, got it?
Jan 15, 2004 mastacrasha911 link
I was extremely civil in my posts to Black 1 unlike the way I was treated by him in game. I posted that message because I think he does need to stop, he is just egging Impartial on more...
Jan 15, 2004 ctishman link
Enough. I don't care who is being nice or polite or whatever. That's enough from everyone.

Does anyone appreciate the irony of community problems in the thread titles community problems?

Okay, I've done what I can. Take my advice or leave it. I'm out.

I think a lot of the community problems could be solved if people would just make use of a very simple, yet very powerful command. /ignore. Out of sight, out of mind. If someone's bugging you, don't get mad, get even. In the end, it'll be good for your blood pressure, and it will deny whatevr troll happens to be bugging you at the time the opportunity to take pleasure in your greif. Grow some thicker skins. It's just a game, we know your mother really isn't a hamster, and your father doesn't smell of elderberry. No sense throwing a tizzy about it.
