The Officially-Unofficial VO Term handbook

May 09, 2019 HighTechRedneck link
Hello new pilots! Welcome to our corner of the interwebs.
If you have played VO for a few days, and wonder, what are all these abbreviations and terms people are using mean, this is just the place for you.

Shall we begin?

+1/-1: a term used on the suggestions forum signifying being in favor or against a suggested idea.

B-8: Sedina B-8, the sector most commonly used for PvP'ing.

Conq Station: Conquerable stations, they are located in Pelatus, Bractus, and Latos. These places will fire upon entry if you do not have proper permissions to enter(known as station keys).

Curt: he's a developer credited with the Goliath, but we kept him here for entertainment purposes =P

Dent: Short for Trident Type M, a player manufactured capital-class vessel.

gf: signifying the end of a PvP match, meaning many variations, most common being "good fight".
Goli: Short for Goliath, another player manufactured capital vessel.

Grey/Gray: Short for Greyspace, the grey systems on the bottom of your nav tab, these systems are unaligned, and very dangerous for new players, as there is no repercussions for those killing you. Also the main staging ground for Pirates.

Hound: short for the Corvus Greyhound, a common ship used for going somewhere fast, or running away.

Inc: short for Incarnate, the lead developer.

pew: a term meaning to fight, or PvP one another.

Race tubes: A series of sectors with racing courses located in sedina.

Rat: Short for pirate, a person who kills, and will typically demand a ransom for your life.

Ray: short for Raybondo, another developer.

Support ticket: located on the forums under support, used for informing the developers of exploits, offensive or inappropriate behaviour such as racial or offensive terms, or if you have any issues with the game itself. It is better to use the bugs-forums for any bugs, however.

Unrat: Dangerous NPC Pirate group that will chase you until you are dead.

VO: Vendetta Online, the game you are playing right now.

Warranty: A payment to Family Galatic Travel guaranteeing ship hull integrity and an optimal universe travel experience.

WC: Wrong chat, usually signifying the message posted was meant for another chat(guild, group, sector, so forth)(in Raybondo's case, a toilet for British people).

Whistler: the moderator of VO, and the forums. Pretty swell guy =P

That is all i can think of, but if i can muster any more terms, i will edit this post accordingly.
