Just a question that popped into mind.
Will we be allowed to build all type and own them at the same time, or will we have to decommission one to get the other?

I don't specifically know right now (TL; DR answer), it depends on the capabilities of the player-capship system whenever they're rolled out.

There have always been a lot of limitations around Player Capships, that were not due to intentional design, but rather restrictions of implementation.. like how their ship-inventories and other mechanics were stored, basically "technical restrictions" instead of design-goals.

In terms of the general idea of owning and utilizing several ships concurrently, there's a current Suggestions Forum topic relating to that very subject.

Years back, we we first started talking about the S/P variants, there would have been an expectation of decommissioning an old ship to build a new one. These days, though, I'm not so sure. We've substantially expanded the capabilities of capships in the last two years, and will continue to do so.

Four years ago I built the siepos and prosus master computers and sensors. I hope to see type S and/or P get released before I die.

Just joking inc , i gotta say all those android updates & capships command stuff was awesome. ( which was released this year ).
