Quest key giveaway appreciation thread
Good day,
Just want to say thank you so much for the quest key giveaway. I have Q3 headset but wasn't using it at all. Now, I'm going to use it to play VO.
That's so awesome! Huge thank you!!!

Glad you're enjoying it :). We will do our best to continue to maintain and improve the Quest version.
Just a quick question - are the default video/graphics settings, that come with Q3 version of VO, the most optimized for the headset? It looks like there are a few sacrifices, e.g. background quality, debris, etc. Also, the UI text looks a bit blurry.
Would you suggest leaving them untouched in order to keep the framerate stable? It feels like FPS drop a bit around the stations.

It was the best balance of visuals and performance that I was able to find, after a lot of extensive testing on a Quest 3.
Whatever you do, don't increase the dynamic light count (defaults to "2" on Q3, don't raise it to 10 or 32), that will completely crush your framerate (someday that might improve, but it requires major renderer changes).
The game being an MMORPG, we cannot always control the amount of content in a given scene (dynamic player gatherings, unplanned battles, etc), so some variability is to be expected. But, the default settings generally do a decent job of maintaining framerate consistency.
If you're personally less affected by framerate fluctuations, or you aren't made nauseous easily, or you explicitly want to tinker with higher settings.. well, then you can alter things at your own risk.

incarnate, thank you for the detailed answer. I such case, I will leave the settings default.
