Chat in Vendetta
If i typing something in the Team or Global Chat. Nothinh haooens. Only the Messages of killing an Sector entry can I see. What have i to do?
Turn off mutilog in options.
Type /set MultiLog 0 at a console
Multilog is very cool. Basically, PlayX, is displays only one type of chat at a time.
I'm not sure what all of them do, but here's what i can remember:
log1: unknown
log2: private messages
log3: group chat
log4: teamchat
log5 sector chat
log6: global chat
I have them bound F5-10, and cycle through them. If a new message appears in any one of them, the corresponding number will turn red. The chat you're in currently will be a white number. So, if you're in teamchat, a white 4 will appear. If something is said in global chat, a red 6 will appear, signifying that someone said something.
For really fast-paced action, using regular chat (every type of chat appearing in the top-left chat space) is easiest. However, for a slower game (and a better one for role-playing!), multilog is nice. Also, if you have something against using /ignore on occasionally loudmouth players, multilog is a nice way to avoid the offending chat without hiding the entire chat log (/hidelog).

how do youi bind it?
log1 displays the initial message
and all logs display echos
log2 also displays warping/docking messages
the messages for flag capture and flag drop are in separated logs, imho the devs should change that...

/bind F5 log1
/bind F6 log2
...etc...
/bind F6 log2

multilog is kinda anoying
I tried binding Log6 to ^, but for some reason or other, I'm not allowed to bind keys to "^" Why is this?
