Hi, just joined today, hoping it wont be over any time soon. Anyone know the details?

Theoretically, the final game should be ready this summer or early fall. However, when I joined I was told it'd be ready in a year. That was 1.5 years ago...

I'm really looking forward to seeing the final game, but I'll really miss this test (evoli trains harder so that she'll be semi-prepared for the game.)

El Guapo is just there because of all the devs' alternate nicks, it's the best. I too thought the new staffer was interesting, though. And they removed that graphic artist who left, too...

Removed who? Noooooo!!! NOT PHIL!!!! Yeah I know, he hasn't worked for Guild in a long time anyway. Still, that guy was so cool. He designed the Hornet and he owns a Subaru WRX. He sounded like someone with a good eye for design.

If the test doesn't take up too much pipeline, have you considered keeping it as a sampler for the finished product or will the finished product be radically different?

No, I think it's going to be radically different. At least, according to the FAQ, the test is not representative of the final product, is in fact only an engine test.
