I will add 4.5 million out of my own pocket to moldyman's offer of 8 million (totaling 12.5) so that the spike remains secure and galactic balance remains in check. If any side makes use of it then it will become mass-produced--and then the HIVE could easily get one for itself. Such an end is unacceptable. The CDC will research it in a secure location, and seal away all pertanant data, then destroy it.

Joyce, the CDC (being created as a network of Bodygaurds-for-hire) would be better-suited to escort work into itani space then Serco warriors. In addition, we would gladly pay a large sum, named at your price, to recover the Spike ourselves. The IA has our support, and we support their motives. We both hope to recover the Spike as soon as possible.
