new guild

Sep 15, 2005 Cunjo link
I'm looking to see how many people may be interested in joining a new guild.

The guild (if enough people are interested) will be called the RoughNecks [RN], it is a primarily Serco security assistance and militant assault force (UIT are welcome to join, so long as they don't favor itani in the war)

Some main functions of RN will be supressing piracy (everywhere but itani space), escorting friendly vessels, protecting new (non-itani) players and training in combat.

Some (non-mandatory) combat activities of [RN] may include Border Patrol, Capture the Cargo, Queen and Leviathan hunting, capship battle participation, and other large-scale battle activities as they become available.

Requirements for joining:
Serco or IUT nationality required
Current or Former members of VPR, SKV or IA not permitted (except for Lecter =P )
Serco KOS standing not permitted

if interested in joining, email me so that I can get it all down and arange a time to start

Just wondering, why no VPRs? SKV and IA I can see as they are Itani, but VPR?

And good luck with the new guild, sounds like a nice idea.

Wait... if it means protecting traders...

Um... sorry dude... but Pirating the NPCs is slightly enjoyable.

I'll add [RN] to the list of guilds that are on my list, then. I'm sure I'm on yours...

I wish you guys luck, and I hope that The Vipers can count you as allies in the battle against the lurking pirate menace.

So it's official then? there are more Guilds now than active players? Way to go you people and your Guild Creation!

Don't worry Joyce It looks like most of the "guilds" are inactive, just like many of the players so it all evens out.

An RN to me will always be a Registered Nurse.

NPCs don't count, Zoras =P

Corbin:
>>"Just wondering, why no VPRs? SKV and IA I can see as they are Itani, but VPR? "<<
Because we don't want to become the next VPR...
Seriously, that's the reason.
There could also be a slight conflict of interests in some situations that I'd like to avoid, as while RN is likely to fight with the VPR on occasion, there are times when it is possible for us to be fighting against them as well. Perhaps I'll shorten it to "No characters that have been with the VPR in the last month" or something...

Tumble:

No tumble, every member of an anti-piracy guild needs the chance to paint atlas' on their fuselage =P

Sorry, but I gotta say, I really think that's very bad role-playing. From a roleplaying perspective there's no difference between player-characters and non-player-characters. That's a wholly an out-of-game distinction, and if you're using the distinction in-game, I really don't think much of your role-playing. If you're not going to allow piracy, then any exceptions should be valid in-game distinctions - like nation. Since you're going to be a Serco guild, say it's OK to pirate Itani traders (be they PCs or NPCs).
