I actually didn't hit any storms. I did however jump to two intermediate sectors in almost every system to avoid hitting any storms. I think the others only jumped once or not at all.

Also they were using astroglide on their hull, in a blatant violation of Intergalactic Racing Federation rules. I demand a rematch.
