At 9pm CDT 8 CDC members gathered in Odia H-6 to escort ST6 cargo into Serco space. After the four ST6 moths were loaded and inspected, the convoy set out for Dantia. After linking up with another Moth in Sedina, the convoy sped through b8 without incident. All was going well until tumble showed up and got spammed into tiny bits. :P After entering Serco space many of the CDC escorts ran ahead of the convoy to lose the pesky Serco SFs. Payment was distributed in a nearby empty sector. We at CDC enjoyed working with ST6 and look forward to future joint operations.

For interested potential customers, the escorts were:

Forrest
So-Lotus
Pilot 13
Craymarris
Polymer
Onina Tola
Fooz2916

We hope our successful first run will boost interest in our services. If you would like to contract CDC please contact MonkofAkan, Forrest, Captain 'Nice' Hardrive, Onina Tola, Craymarris, or any other CDC official.

Here at CDC, we look forward to working for you!

Spammed into tiny bits?! I took one of your escorts out before anyone knew I was there, and almost took another after he blew. Just for that, next time I see one of your convoys, I'm bringing a whole crew!

By the way, did you tell your guild what you spent ALL their money on last week? ;)

*Looks over the list of "escorts", realizes he's far safer flying an unmodified stock bus full of samoflanges through B-8 in the middle of Pie Rat Con 2005*

You guys should really start by developing actual combat skills instead of spending yer money on White Elephants *nod nod wink wink*

Um...I seem to remember being part of the escort, or did the spike just insert that false memory into my brain?

Oh, and Pilot left the CDC.

ST6 was grateful to have the assistance of CDC and VPR in our small Helio run to Dantia. As was said the only pirate we ran into was quickly removed with minimal loss of personal, and no loss of our cargo ships or their cargo.

It was a job well done.

We, the ST6 thank you for the assistance of the cargo

That you people neglected to mention to both CDC and VPR said cargo was the Spike and not some helio crates was a simple slip of the mind, right?

We moved some helio. They checked our cargos, ask them.

Cough

ST6 may have had the Spike. But we were paid to guard them and that we did. Paying 38 million credits was a hasty and stupid decision, one which I am paying for by having to give lots of money to our bank by mining (mumble grumble).

I thank the Vipers guild for helping us. As was seen later on, a pirate duid attack the convoy.

Anyway, I have finally learned to think first and then act. CDC should have no RP reasons to be interested in the Spike and the Spike is only an RP item anyway. I am srry for that.

Anyway, toodles. Hope more people want escorts.

I hear some "conflicts" arose after that little event, care to enlighten us?

Oh and one more thing, don't start acting like the police and start checking cargo and stuff. If you are hired to escort, do your job as an escort ;).
Oct 02, 2005 jexkerome link
What I find amusing is that the escorts insisted on inspecting the cargo and yet missed the real item in need of an escort. Just one more reason not to hire these clowns.

I think you should continue making hasty decisions! My bank account thanks you.

Checking of the cargo did get me POed...

I was about to take off on my own after a bit of that...
(I wonder what might of happened then?)

If I was interested in using an escort service I'd want to be able to see pictures of each of the girls.

I agree they shouldnt have inspected the cargo, your job is guard the transport not having to know what they are caring.
Plus they knew it was the spike they were caring bcz when A-Dawg let his cargo out it only should 119 helio crates (Odd right?).
They just said he was ok so know one would know they knew they had the spike.when actually everyone did.

It was Faceless first of all. Second of all, we asked to see it cuz if ST6 was carrying the Spike, that can amount to extra hazard pay for us, as almost everyone would try to kill the convoy if they knew.

Get your facts right Red. Additionally, Blacklight, we will check cargo on behalf of anyone who pays us to do so or whenever we feel that a customer has put CDC members at exceptional risk (ie, the Spike). Furthermore, I was on for some time after the event and there was not any conflict with ST6. As for our operations in general I think Monk would agree with me that we would choose not to check cargo for the proper price or as part of a contractual agreement set before the time of the job.

You could just choose to charge more for un-inspected cargo. Call it a "look the other way fee"...
