Yet another observation: This is the 4th time a hornet has participated in the D-Run, and the 1st time it hasn't placed in the top 3 when it did. (prolly because bloodthirst had an energy-weapon loadout)

Ok, at long last, the Deneb Run #15 write-up is complete. Enjoy.

Good point about the Hornets, vIsitor. Assuming no weapons are equipped, an Orion Hornet is just slightly faster than a Warthog MkII.

That'd be interesting. I'd like that too. I won't do it unless no one uses a valk cuz honestly a hog or convoy guardian has a lot less of a chance of winning then a valk.

I've beaten Valks in Convoy Guardians, but not by much...

The Valk has a VERY high thrust-to-weight ratio, so it's like the ferrari of V-O. Plus It's got the fastest top speed (240 m/s), and only 55 drain. The IDF Valk is the best ship to race in. If you want it, just get your itani standing and your combat licenses up. No big deal.

If you want infiniboost, then I suggest the Orion Convoy Guardian. Only 220 m/s top speed but you can just point and GO w/o worrying about losing those precious seconds waiting at the WH, waiting for your batt to recharge. However its thrust-to-weight ratio SUX.

Hey Screwball, want to do a "NO Valk" Racing week for the Deneb Run and the Corporate Sectors Run?

Or, make every contestant race in a govbus or something. THAT would be funny.

Sorry, I have family obligations this weekend, so no Deneb Run tonight. I expect I can host the Deneb Run #16 next weekend, but there is one possible wrinkle then too. I'll make an announcement mid-week.

I like the no-valks idea for a race. EC-88 is too vulnerable to strike forces, though.
