This is a tribute to one particularily cowardly itani, "MonkOfAkan", who ran from me while backed by seven other itani when I challenged him.

I know there are some cowardly itani out there, but what level of cowardice does it take to run from someone you have outnumbered 8 to 1?

This is a toast to you, Monk, who ran twice and /exploded twice in the last four consentual engagements with me. None could have fought more underhanded or run faster than you.

Raise your glasses everyone! I bestow upon "MonkOfAkan" this day the medal of cowardice.

Enjoy it while you can Munky, because it won't be long before I have you in my crosshairs again, and on that day you will reap it ;)

I never exploded, your buddies got me. I run when outnumbered by you and your buddies. And I am running in a Hornet Mk3 while you are chasing in an Orion Rev C. Shows your chasing skills in a faster, more manuverable ship.

and as for your comment on my chasing you, -I- don't use infiniboosting ships in fights, because I plan to FIGHT, not RUN. so cry me a river =)

Correction: the only Hornet that DOESN'T infiniturbo is the Hornet Mk3; the Mk1, Mk2, and Convoy Guardian all do infiniturbo. And the Mk3 only drains 55, which is not much worse compared to infiniturbo. The Rev. C drains 65, and the Rev. C is almost always equipped w/ energy weapons, so... it's really not a chaser.

Now, if you would have waited just a SHORT while, you could have joined the other Serco who we were fighting (Faceless, Fugue, Mecha, Eagle, etc etc) in D-2 last night.

Lesse, I've never spammed (and if you don't know what the definition of spamming is, perhaps you should look it up), I'm not known for griefing, and I don't team up with other players outside of a consentual group battle.

Furthermmore, I don't complain about people who spam, so long as they don't station camp and/or run away from the people they attack, and I don't complain about ganking either unless its both nonconsentual and outside of a battle situation. I also didn't call monk a griefer. In fact, I don't recall accusing him of any of those three things you mentioned.

As for the complaining, knock it off. VO has enough pissing contests already. If somebody runs away, then count it as a moral victory. I've taped a piece of paper to another monitor I have next to my Powerbook and Desktop, and I put a little hash mark on it when people run. Just chill out a little.

I didn't lock it because it began with a reasonably in-character post, which seemed somewhat appropriate given that this is the RP forum. It's nice to see a little good-natured rivalry that doesn't cross the line into an obvious flame.

Things have degenerated since then.

Threads wouldn't be locked at all if people would simply accept responsibility for their own community.

certianly have... I'm noticing a trend: they never really stay on-topic or appropriate after the first post in which someone can find something to disagree with... kinda defeats the whole purpose of discussion. sad really. you can lock it now.

At some point we'll have the ability to place habitually naughty posters on some sort of probationary status. That will likely clean things up a bit. Unfortunately it's a low priority. So much to do...
