Is it possible that we could all home in the same station in edras so if we die we can try to continue the race. This might help mitigate the effect of the pirates in Versi. A simple test of /exploding in a govbus would prove where the players are homed. Also of course you would not be allowed to /explode to get from pelatus to edras (you have to report each WH so it won't be easy to get away with). Hell why not allow us to re-home anywhere along the way since nobody finished the race last time.

That would work, yes, but you should have to redo the route from where you homed as if you had just arrived there.

So if you home in Dau, and die before you get to Dau, you're out.
If you die in Azek, Latos, Ukari, or Arta, you have to do that segment over again.
If you die in Nyrius, Verasi, Edras or Pelatus on the way back, you only have to head back to Pelatus.

The idea is to let people make pitstops to re-home mid race to kind of save their progress. i suspect there will be a record pirate turnout

NO. Once you're dead, you're out. Pirates attacking racers to knock them out, not set them back a bit. And racer attacking has added a lot more excitement and depth to the races (as well as importance). In fact, I think we should have the race end at a Corvus station just for the run-to-the-docking-while-pirates-shoot-the-hell-out-of-you fun.
