Press Release, John T and Catherine D Spider Mine Foundation
The John T and Catherine D Spider Mine Foundation, a 501c non-profit that strives to connect people, ideas, and innovation, has released the results of a study code named "Marauder Mining: A silk purse out of a sows ear?". This report is available in the 'suggestions' area of your galaxy news service center on page 3 of the topic "Mining Marauder Buff".
It is the result of a study into increaseing the mining performance of certain spacefaring vessels without compromising the Sedina strategic arms balance and limitation treaties of 2314. It attempts to use a new paradigm in mineral extraction through the use of energy-draining mining beam technology.
A public comment period will be held on this topic from today until the ides of Bractus, 14:00 hours. You are invited to provide input into the discussion on these findings.
Thank you.

I'm not even going to start on the obvious mistakes in that newspost.
Or maybe I will:
1) In 2314, Sedina wasn't even discovered. Hell, Terra II was the only inhabited planet this side of the wormhole.
2) Bractus isn't a month. "Ides of Bractus" implies this. How the hell can a solar system have an Ides?
Otherwise, nice pun on the JT&CDMF.

You are using the ancient Serco calendar. I'm using the real calender, the Calendar of Trollificus Magnus, published in 1703.
As to your second point, I suggest you consult an astropsychologist.

ROFL, if anyone needs to go to a space shrink, it's Jex, not Celkan.
Trollificus Magnus, hrm? Some relative of yours, ananzi?
Trollificus Magnus, hrm? Some relative of yours, ananzi?
ananzi != Jex
ananzi can't roleplay for shit :P

*sneezes*
Hehe, ananzi made me laugh and for once it was not at him. Nicly done.
get off my ass, man. stop slagging me all the time.
ROFL, ananzi, if you are gonna troll 99.9% of the time, be prepared to face the consequences...
I don't get it... what is this thing?
Well... to contradict Celkan:
It is not impossible that we adopted a different way of keeping time this side of the wormhole. After all, it's been a few thousand years, and our firmament is radically different. We might just as well start calling our months and days differently (remember, the way we call our larger recurring time intervals is mostly derived from either well-known people, numbers or gods).
And the Serco calendar is the ONLY valid calendar, as you ought to know... heretic.

Funny, he just SAID I was using the Serco calendar...
