An Event Extraordinaire!
Two teams of 8 players face off in a last-man-standing battle to the death, one flying exclusively Vulture-type ships, the other, only Mauds. The members of the winning team each receive 1,000,000 cash prize!

Specifics

Leaving the sector for any reason removes you from the fight. If you go back to repair, reload, or if you die, you may not come back. Returning to the battle sector results in the immediate disqualification of your team.
You may use any ship of your team's type. This means for the Vulture: Mks 1-4, Serco Vult Guardian, Biocom & Corvus Vults. For the mauds: UIT, Axia, Valent, TPG, Corvus, and Tunguska.
As this is the first time the event has been run, there is no basis to exclude any weapons or tactics. Therefore: anything goes.

Teams shall be formed as follows:

Serco not hated by Serco are restricted to the Vulture team
UIT not hated by UIT are restricted to the Maud team
Itani not hated by Itani must collectively pick a team, and are restricted to that ship
Any player who has tanked their own nation's standing is allowed on either team.
These restrictions provide that every member on one team can damage, and be damaged by, every member on the other team.
Also, when you sign up please indicate which ship you will be using. I will form teams such that a wide range of ships are represented. That is, such that the Vult team will have the Mk4, Vult Guardian, Biocom, and Corvult on it, and the Maud will have all represented. Chances are, if you say you'll fly the Tung Maud, you'll be put on the maud team, since few would elect to fly that offensively.

There is an entry fee of 250,000 credits for a chance to win 1,000,000.

VULTURE VS MAUD will be held either on Saturday night preceding the Deneb Run (01:00 GMT).
Please reserve this thread for SIGN-UPs only. The first people to sign up will be the ones to fight, however everyone interested please sign up, as the teams are subject to who is online at the time of the event, and who can fit on which team. So please, sign up!

Wait a sec. Why are the UIT getting ganged up on by vicious Vulturius-wielding Serco and SVG flying Itani dogs? Let's just have a three way: UIT gets mauds, Serco take vults, and the blue pansies can have IBGs or something.

I sense a disturbance in the Force, as if the combined skill of the Vult team so far surpasses that of the Maud team by at least 500%...
mm, I'm thinking I'm in for the maud side.
Not that I don't like my vult... but I just got a new paint job, and I think these mauds exploding all over the place might scuff it a bit.
