ANNOUNCING BLAK SPONSORED ROID WAR 3 TAKE 2!!

Due to an unfortunate server crash during Roid War 3, we have rescheduled!

Date and Time: Sunday January 1, 2006 at 21:30 GMT (3:30pm Central)

Where: Odia M14 Crystal Roid Cluster

Come out for the last big bash of the year, and a record breaking 10 million credits in prize money! And, for the first time in VO event history, we will be giving trophies for first, second, and third place!! (Special thanks to a1k0n and Incarnate for making it happen!)



Following the massive success of the first and second roid war (and they almost success of Roid War 3!) we're having another! Join us for all out war! Roid War is an all out, free for all battle! The pilot with the most kills wins! And, as last time, hopefully, we'll arrange for a guide to temporarily tank everyone's home nation standing, so it can truly be an all out war!

The Rules:

1. NO seeker missles (rockets are allowed, but see rule 3 for caveat)
2. NO Lightning Mines
3. Reloads and repairs are prohibited. Once you're in the combat area, you're there until you die
4. /exploding and leaving the combat area will result in instant disqualification
5. Anything else goes!
6. Roid War is 60 minutes long. Combat takes place at the crystal roid cluster in Odia M14. If you die, get another ship and come back! The pilots with the most kills at the end of 60 minutes win!

Prizes:

1st place: 6 Million Credits and the First Place Trophy Widget!
2nd place: 3 Million Credits and the Second Place Trophy Widget!
3rd place: 1 Million Credits and the Third Place Trophy Widget!

Get off it, zamzx. Even if Joyce were available on the weekend (which she won't) you know quite well she totally hates Blackhole's guts and considers him the Second Coming of Aroltemort, so even if she were available and in her sunniest disposition she would never give you a single credit, specially considering last time she gave you cash you used it to go grief people.

Also, it's kinda hard to hit up someone for money when they have all your alts muted...

I do, for the one that the server crashed on, I traded all day long, that's why I'm pissed, cuz' I worked for my money, then I lost it all on nothing.

Zam - We know and understand your frustration with the server crash. Unfortunately, there is nothing to be done about it. You made a scene before the event (ramming, firing on me and others, etc), you made a scene during the event (no repairs?! no reloads?! blah blah blah), and now you seem determined to make a scene after the event and before the next. In my opinion, reholding the event only adds to the fun. And since this is my event, sponsored with my money and my time, and supported by my efforts and those of the devs and guides (without whom this event wouldn't be nearly as fun), please have a little respect, get a little perspective, and let it go. Roid War is for everyone, not just you. I would appreciate it if you would end the self rightious ranting, at least in my thread. If you can't, please don't come to the next Roid War.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I spent half of this week stocking up ships in Odia, and now I'm not even going to be able to come. :'C We're taking a family trip up somewhere north, and, well yuknow. I'll be in the car while all this is happening. Is there any possible way you could reschedule it Tumble? Please? I spent all week preparing for this, I might have a chance at 6 million credits, and then... damn roadtrip.

No reload and no repair was always part of the rules, I just forgot to include it in the news post. I have rectified that.

Anyway, 1 day until ROID WAR!

This little thing over here that I have to deal with, called MY JOB!, is starting to make me mad. It interferes with cool events like this one, which I won't be able to participare in. :-(

for those of you who are not sure weather or not to participate, do it! it is great experience!! for htose of you complaining about participating again... relax... partake again and enjoy the ridde!!!

mr_spuck will give every participant the amount of kills from all players added together times 1000 in credits. :D

I have to set some limits though to avoid cheating <.<

1. disqualified players neither get any money nor are their kills counted to the credits
2. players must atleast contribute 1% to the kills to get moneys
(no sitting in the station till the end)
3. players must atleast contribute 1% to the kills to be counted to the score.

Percentages are always rounded up.
100 kills means 1 kill for you and 101 kills 2 for you. and so on.

I hope tumble is ok with this. is he?
And I will need the numbers of kills from him cause I'm way to lazy to count. :P
