I usually don't argue about these kinds of things, since it starts a lot of spinoffs about religion, politics (almost the same thing, really), and personal insults. But I really feel like pointing these things out this time...

In response to http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/lifecynical.php -

Love of any one thing (including a country) certainly does not lead towards the hate of another. I love my country (United States of America). The things I love about my country lead me to want to bring those things to others less fortunate. I love Peru, I love Mexico, I love Canada, I love the Netherlands, and (yes, I'm going to say it) I like France. If I hated the US, I would most definitely dislike the other countries much more. Love begets love - a funny thing, it is. Love only stops if impeded by jealousy or blindingly excessive pride. Disappointment is another matter entirely, separate from hate.

Seeing is _not_ beleiving. Seeing is knowing. Witnessing is knowing. If you witness something, you KNOW it is there - it ceases to be a beleif. Beleif is a combination of hope and hearing the testimony of someone else's witness.

"There is no good, there is no evil, just hate." Never heard anything more untrue. Hate cannot exist without good and evil. A previous comment was made about the author of the flash presentation wanting truth and justice. Justice is the fulfillment of punishment and/or reward. Justice requires a law (law of nature, law of democracy - any law at all). Fulfillment of the law brings 'reward.' Trespass of the law brings 'punishment.' Law of nature: you jump off of a high enough cliff, you fall and die. You stay on the cliff, you live. Law of democracy: you shoot people, you go to prison. You don't shoot people, you don't go to prison. "Good" is the characterization of making the "right" choice, or the one that will bring reward according to the law. "Evil" is the characterization of making the "wrong" choice, or the one that will bring punishment. Of course, good and evil are words mostly used by religion describing a persons choices according to "God's Law/Commandments," but "breaking the law" and "abiding by the law" mean exactly the same thing in politically correct statements.

Unfortunately, in an imperfect law/justice system, consequences can often be avoided, like world government systems, for example. But more complete laws can (theoretically) never be escaped (such as nature's laws).

Truth was best defined to me as "The actuality of all things past, present, and future."

I hope that all makes sense. I'm not the best writer. If anybody even cares (and even read this, to boot), I can try to clarify.
