in the past few days i flew a wraith. i have had very good luck. here are the ships i have killed.

various warthogs
many types of vultures

in a similar setup in a warthog i was able to destroy a prometheus.

i think that once people figure out the counter-moves i will get p0wn3d continuously like in the good old days.

until then, i am very happy to get +350 combat points and so forth and so on. thank you.

i think it only goes to prove that even with many many months of no changes to the balance or weapons or ships, it is still possible to come up with a 'new' loadout, using a low level ship, that will surprise people enough, even vets, to allow a horrid pilot such as myself to beat them in combat. at least until they get used to it.

a tribute to the flexibility inherent in vendetta, to its basis on strange physics instead of statistics and dice rolls.

There's a reason people call the Wraith the mini-prom...

you can kick the average prom-pilot's ass with a wraith often enough to earn the title too.

Its the flare AGT combo. If you hit the prom with a set of flares, you can keep it off balance and finish it off with the AGT fast enough that the armor difference doesn't come into play.

It should be said, that a wraith with megaposi cannot do the same thing.

It's the one of the only ships which shares it's port variation with another... especially one that is so feared.

if I remember correctly, sunflares are light 8, and agt is heavy 6... but even before that, the wraith is one of the most potent assault ships for early, low-level botting, plus it has the hold to collect scrap and minerals for revenue... a very well-rounded ship indeed.

actually it was rail MkIII and lightning mines. if i tried AGT/flare id be the usual dead meat. but rail/Lmines was unusual enough to surprise a few people the first time or two they saw it.

It surprised me (but that don't take much).

adv rails + l-mines on a rag is fun. well, for a short period. then people stay at a good distance and just spam. :-p
