coalition of [itan] web site down
fyi
the coalition of [itan]'s web site is undergoing security audits after a break-in attempt has been made on it's parent host.
undoubtedly, the smooth election period that [itan] just successfully ended must have made some jealous serco and they're trying to disrupt the normal process of leadership transition.
rest assure any information in there is safe from any tampering and that the site will return shortly. the coalition of [itan] is unaffected by this temporary outage.

Or you're wiping the data after a "smooth" election... too smooth... >.> <.<
I think Erik has a point here. :P
i don't see what you're getting at. our web site is hosted on a system that is monitored by a third party and that belongs to a well known... er... drunkard pirate.
i can assure you that everything is aaaaaa-ok.

<sigh> Site's up.
I thought everything was running fine last night (Saturday, when I got a page from the webhost with security issues), but it looks like someone internal at my webhost decided to restart the server as I was deleting a few legacy VPS records last night, and something got crossed - Apache wouldn't start because it was looking for a VPS node that I had deleted, so Apache sat there pouting until, well, tonight.
I didn't check this morning, what with the rush to get the me & the munchkins off to church, and the thought of finally having a weekend of football-watching, and I only popped on to check things at about 6:00... and said "OH F**K!"
Oh well. It's interesting to note that, although leberhost hosts approximately 15 corporate websites as well as my own stuff, the very first response from anyone regarding anything being wrong or slow or whatnot always comes from the CoalitionOfItan.Org guys.
Anyway, things are tentatively under control and I'll probably spend a good chunk of time nailing things down next week.

Oh, no data loss at all, so things are cool as far as I can tell. Nothing's happened with any of the ingame elections, nothing's been altered, and the voting has been untampered-with, except for that one little thing that Dr. Lecter paid me to do...
(I kid.)
