Through their own actions and statements over the past two weeks, the leadership of the CDC organization has exposed itself as an enemy of the Serco Nation. Documented actions include the participation of one of the leaders, Blue Streak, in combat actions resulting in the destruction of Serco Xithricite transports. Recorded statements by the leadership of CDC exposing their active opposition to the Serco Nation are too numerous to include here but are readily available through comm logs.
Extensive and careful analysis of CDC activities by Sky Command Intelligence revealed as early as last week that it was highly probable that CDC is an Itani front organization. While the details are highly classified, sufficient evidence was uncovered that operation Expose was given the green light and scheduled to coincide with the Itani surviellance activity publicized as the 'Deneb Race'.
The goal of operation Expose was to bring about the public exposition of CDC's true goals through public statements made by the leadership of CDC. Psychologists at the Serco Institute of Human Studies determined that the best means to accomplish this goal would be to subject a leader of the CDC to direct and personal danger. The CDC is a guild promoting free trade, by and large throughout Corp and Seceeded Corp Space. We are miners, traders and escorts. We do not claim ties with any one nation other than that of the Union of Independent Territories. Our motto, "We haul so you don't have to" is exactly that, the words we live by. We are for hire by ANY nation of ANY group, only refusing service to the enemies of free trade, namely pirates.
When we see actions that are opposed to free trade, we speak up and act against it. This includes unprovoked attacks where the pilot does not claim cargo nor to be a pirate. And this is what happened on the alleged day. The Deneb Run, the alleged TGFT run "weekly itani spy operation", was preparing when the pilot Omni Vorcyber warped in and opened up on ALL racers, UIT, Itani AND Serco. The mere fact that he says he was aiming for one target alone does not matter; Intent does not matter so much as the results n the real world.
This provoked one of the victims and the intended target, Joyce C., to speak up against it vehemently with the support of her guild. The BDC leadership present at the time supported his actions, stating that it was a jusitifiable response to her VERBAL disagreements with BDC in the past. Promptly, Omni Vorcyber was let go from or left the BDC, which happened is unknown.
In retaliation to this unprovoked attack, I did destroy a single Serco convoy. The Serco Dominion's official representation has dwindled and shrivelled up until there is only one group left, the Blood Dragon Clan. As such, they are the only representatives that the Serco military has. And if these are the actions of an offshoot of the Serco military, it's best to retaliate where they alone would get hurt.
Now, last I checked there is not ONE SINGLE CORPORATION in Grey Space, INCLUDING the Corvus Syndicate that DOES NOT protect free speech. I do not know of the laws in the Serco Dominion, but if this is regular practice there, please keep it within your borders (Notice I said if). In the Union, one responds in kind. An eye for an eye, verbal assaults countered by other verbal arguments, ships trading fire. All your actions prove that, you, Omni Vorcyber, intended to provoke a result, which you skewed to some as being a success at "revealing the CDC's true nature". Man is human and therefore has fallacies, one being that if poked too hard, despite normal personality traits and beliefs, they will poke back. You have achieved a success in a psychology experiment, not "intel".
We do notcondone the actions of Omni Vorcyber that day, and will not cave to his threats. We do not condone BDC's public support of militant actions against Union and Itani pilots alike engaging in a peaceful activity. This does not makes us anti Serco because we do not go along with what their representation says for us to do or else.

On another note, I'd like to hear what omni has to say about the TGFT in this matter, since the Deneb Run is really "a weekly itani surveillance operation".
So CDC and BDC are going to be at it, or will the BDC refuse to play with them since, as stated, the CDC is "an Itani creation run by Itani"? Or is it just one crackpot pilot cut out in the tumblemonster/Roda pattern?

I wish to let the [BDC] know that I condone its actions here and in the case of the international competition known as 'Nation War'. However, I strongly suggest to the [BDC] that, in fact, its response has been too minimalist. Why do you only attack one pilot of all those involved? You should sally forth, in force, each time this takes place... and slaughter all present. Free speech is an expression oft misused by distorters of truth and purveyors of lies in the pursuit of their own agendas. In the 20th century on Terra, free speech did not commonly condone the shouting of "Fire!" in a crowded theatre. Words provoke action, then as now.

Those cases related to the false warning of an emergency, creating panic and injury as a result.

For those too dense to make the obvious connection, please aquaint yourself with another pair of examples from 20th century Terra: Hermann Goering and Joseph Goebbels. The damage done by their "Free Speech" is incalculable.

Playing devil's advocate here, if we're really getting into the technicals of free speech, it is protected with some exception. Those being libel, slander and fighting words. Libel and slander being the attacking of a person's reputation with false information. Fighting words being speech that is said with the intent to arouse an immediate violent response. The point of this being that speech is to be judged on the context and not the content. Thus offensive speech is still protected as long as it is not used in a context where it may produce an immediate violent response.
However! Taking into account the fact that all of these Free Speech statues are parts of the American government and we're all out here in space, I'm not sure if they apply =)

OOC: stepping out of the role, Ghost has the essence of what Omni was arguing, namely that free speech is not free of consequences. The exact conditions and consequences within any particular nation of course differ. It is simply wrong to assume that any free speech right exists between nations and nation-like entities and it is wrong to assume that speech has no consequences.
