Note, for the avoidance of an ambiguity exception, that is Tonight, Saturday Night. (Sunday 02:00 here in UK)
I am not sure I can make the Run tonight. If Katrina, Ecka (or someone else, Mick or Surb maybe) wants to MC tonight, that'd be super-awesome.
Can't guarantee. The late slot means staying up from 3AM to at least 4AM for us europeans. Will try.
Actually all other regular events now happen at 21:00 GMT. This is not ideal time for me (I'd prefer events to start earlier than midnight for me), but seems like at least both Europeans and Amercans can make it at this time slot. So maybe let's drop late timeslot? DR#100 voting showed that early is ok for most racers
Of course don't expect me to be at the event which will start at 4:00. I have a life. Sorry :)

I'm up for it, see you at the start line 8)
The DR#101 risked to be canceled due to lack of racers. At the very last moment TheBlackFlag decided to join in.
The racers:
Jestatis Bess, itani, Commander of [ONE1]; a man, his guild, one million eq advertisements.
Foo Fighter, itani, Councilor of [ITAN]; a competent racer, already aware of many tricks.
TheBlackFlag, UIT, member of [CLM]; to liberate cargo, you need to smuggle quickly...
The results:
Foo Fighter | 29:56 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian | FC | bare
Jestatis Bess | 33:24 | Warthog Mk II | FC | bare
TheBlackFlag | 34:40 | Warthog Mk II | FC | mega posi
Notes:
1) Very stormy run. Especially Pherona and Jallik reserved many blue km to our racers.
2) Not much pirate activity. In a weird twist of roles, Omega 0, guildmate of Foo Fighter, attacked TheBlackFlag. An ITAN firing on a racing pirate! Not a common sight.
3) Still, even with few percentage points left, TBF managed to dock in third place.
4) Miharu already paid up the sponsor quota for SSC.
5) The late slot attracts few people. Summer makes it worse, apparently.
Next DR will be in the EARLY slot.

Thanks, Katrina.
I got invited out to see the new Harry Potter movie with a friend at the last minute and wasn't sure if I'd be back in time to MC the race.
If one considers "five minutes after the race started" as "in time", then I guess I did. ;)

Evil Potter, I suspect he will steal several people from the next race
thank you Syylk for hosting. U rock!!!
and BTW I came in 2nd :) WOOOOOT!!!
and BTW I came in 2nd :) WOOOOOT!!!
Syylk, past precedent in the race has shown that if you only get two racers, the MC races as well so as not to cancel. So you could have MCed AND won the race!
The Run only gets canceled by no racers, just one racer (besides the MC), or servers down.

If he/she intends to race, you mean?
Because I find demanding to MC as it is. Having to run WHILE announcing and keeping track of the racers would saturate my synaptic allowance limit. :) I prefer to MC well, and not race, than do both poorly. I consider hosting a service to players.
I know I could have smoked all the three racers, but that's not the point! ;)
Anyway, should the need arise again in the future, I will try and fill in the spot. Maybe with an unusual ship. My understanding is that nobody raced with an XC, yet. :D
