Isn't the EARLY slot tonight?
I ask because I'd love to race, but I'm about to go out to the japanese restaurant, and I won't be back in time for the early slot. I see the announce is for the late slot, however, then I could be ready to run (or host, or both).
Past saturday I MC'ed in the LATE slot.

yeah, maybe it is the early slot tonight. I thought it was the late slot for some reason. I'll postpone it if you want to race, though.
I'll ask on 100.
EDIT: No response to the query, race will be late slot this weekend as advertised. It'll be in the early slots for the next two races to make up for it.

Ah, well. The early slot passed, and we're two hours away from the late slot. If I'm still awake (or at least alive), I'll try to be there. Thanks Miha.
Hi.
Could we advertise the Deneb Run just a little more in advance?
I checked this afternoon before going out and there was no D.R. advertised.
Thanks,

Sorry about that. I was busy this morning running errands with a neighbor and didn't get a chance until almost 2PM local to post anything. :/
Anyway, here are the results!
The Racers
Cranston Gorky - Union pilot, lieutenant of ITG. I think he's raced before, but I'm too lazy to go back and check tonight.
Jestatis Bess - Itani pilot, commander of ONE1. He also participates from time to time.
Maiz Man - Union pilot, council of PA. This was his first race.
The Results
Cranston Gorky | 34:53 | TPG Atlas X, Fast charge powercell, 1x Geminis.
Jestatis Bess | 35:55 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
Maiz Man | 45:33 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, 1x LENB, 1x Xang Xi Storm Extender.
Observations
1) I'm not sure, but is this the first time a racer who's loaded weapons onto their ship managed to take first place? (someone who keeps track of these things... help) EDIT: Nope. Thanks, Erik.
2) We were slated to have five racers, but Maiz Man took his time in getting to Odia M-14 and two racers got impatient and dropped out. (Both would have been first-timers to the Deneb Run.) Patience is a virtue.

Not the first time.
I would have pirated if I wasn't 4,000,000m into empty space reading hp7...
Before Kat sneaks in:
I could easily win this race!

35 minutes? Wow. Did they forget to use boost?
Sorry for not showing up after all the fuss. Very important RL matter popped up. Congrats to the three pilots.

Some forgot to take a practice lap even though they had four extra hours to do so (Jestatis) and everyone hit at least one storm.
Before nothing, I want to thanks Miharu for giving me the opportunity to run considering that the start was delayed and I was in Dau at the moment.
Same gratefulness is for my guildies (and ex-guildies) who supported me, during the race, with valuable information about the 'surprises' of the road.
I wish to apologize with the pilots who left the competition because of my delay. After the finish i remained worried and distressed about this matter.
So, to clear things i search my log and cut the two most important moments before the start.
1. My first /msg to Miharu asking if there was any chance to join the race
http://www.iqq.cl/v-o/logs/dr102_log2.gif
2. The gap of time between the resign and my arrive to Odia M-14
http://www.iqq.cl/v-o/logs/dr102_log.gif
My intention with this is not to look for guilty or innocent but rather to be peacefully with my conscience. That's what motivated me to post this reply. Make your own conclusions.
Again, my sincere excuses.

No problem, Maiz. I think the newcomers missed it when I stated that the Run starts late almost all the time, and that a 20-minute delay is nothing compared to some others I've seen or heard of. (I think the record is at least half an hour).
Starting late is almost a tradition at this point.
For next week's Run, Eonis and I may have something that will help make the announcements more entertaining.
Well, the banter at least. You'll see, assuming we get it finished and ready by then.

Thanks Miharu and Eonis for hosting.
It was a great race. I think Cranston Gorky was lucky to win. If i did do a prerace and avoided the storms i think i could have won.
Congrats to Cranston Gorky and Maiz Man.
