Hrm. Well, I respond late by a week, but yeah. I'm in the same situation as Miharu - college makes it that much harder to get in a ship and happily commentate. However, I can handle the early slot as it stands now (although moving it back to 6 does make things easier). Dinner doesn't start until 5:30 here, and the line is rarely that bad. I can also handle the late slot, and will hopefully be able to show up tonight. Maybe. *crosses fingers* I think I'll have to handle it on an ad hoc basis.

I don't think its fair for foo to race. I love foo but hes the betting agent. If he wins he should award all prizes to the 2nd place finisher. We can't bet on foo a week before the race so if he wins hes kinda messing up the betting.

And last minute runners shouldn't be able to bet on themselves. If someone decides to race less then 24 hours and there are no odds on them then the person who's next should get the win for the betting pool.

I love you foo but be fair to all.. especially me.. someone who spent more then 7mil betting in the last few weeks.

Just to be clear, The Betting Shop is run on a separate account and run as a separate RP, with it's own accounting.
It is run at arms-length from Foo Fighter.

Foo Fighter's objective is to win. He will not always be able to race earlies slot (IRL issues) and will usually not be able to race late slot (too late).

Having said that, Foo Fighter can accept stakes and make payouts when clients cannot easily access The Betting Shop (we settle up at the end of the day).

I hear your complaint - please see me if you'd like to go into more details; I am open to feedback. I agree your point on last-minute entries and henceforth self-bets by last-minute entries are excluded.

Just to state some facts:
The Betting Shop offered betting odds on Foo Fighter all week long; as it was quite likely he would show. In fact several punters bet on Foo Fighter and there was a substantial payout to them. The odds were, if anything, generous at 7/2 (4.5x your money). The surplus for The Betting Shop was small compared to each individual payout that each winner received.
The previous week it was unlikely (at the time) that Foo Fighter would be able to race (was away on vacation in France) hence no odds were offered on him that week (Seems fair enough).

Thanks foo for addressing my concerns. I just wanted it to be fairer. And if you have odds placed on you at least 24 hours before racing i have no problem with you or anyone racing and being bet on.

It was the last minite racers i really had a problem with. Anouncing they were going to race 5 min before they did and then betting alot on them selves and winning. No one else had the opportunity to bet on them, so it appears they fixed the betting.

He was on; he was recently removed as he wasn't racing regularly, and I've added him back on as he has more points than Spaceranger and Maiz Man.
actually there are several more people on my points count spreadsheet, than those listed. The list is only a summary of active racers, in principle with scores in the double-digits.

For a routing problem, I'm unable to connect to the game since one month. I'm not very happy I thrown three months' worth of subscription out of the window. But I'm even less happy to be prevented to race... :P
