ATTN: All itani personnel
FROM: [ITAN] command HQ

There have been a string of hostile incidents in the border system of Deneb reported by peaceful civilians, miners and traders as well as sentries. These have grown more frequent over the last 2.5 days and can no longer be tolerated.
They all have in common Serco aggression on our people and interests in Deneb.
Recognising that Deneb is an itani system, recognising the need to defend the itani people and their territory, and mindful of the need to keep Peace, The Itani Senate have passed a peacekeeping resolution, and [ITAN] have been called to serve.

As of 20:00GMT today, [ITAN] are patrolling Deneb system, including the Deneb B12 WH border point. This is a Peacekeeping mission authorised by the senate. We are prepared to use force where necessary to enforce a no-fly zone over Deneb, on all Secro pilots.
Any more attempts by [SCAR] or any other organised serco group to invate Deneb will be taken as an act of war by that party.

We are imposing a No-fly zone over Deneb to any Serco.

All itani (except those traitors that are KOS) retain their full freedom to movement. All UIT (except those that are itani Hated or KOS, or Pirate, or member of a guild at war with ITAN) also remain welcome in our system. The no-fly zone is there to exclude Serco soldiers from itani space. [ITAN] Personnel can stop & search those deemed suspicious, and/or escort them to the WH out of itani space.

Serco traders are free to pass, as long as they aren't ferrying items which will be used against us in battle.

After a fierce night of fighting Itani claim B-12

The Itani high council sent us a Heavy assault cruiser to guard the sector while we rest.

In the last 2 days i have killed more than 300 serco fighters. :D

Deneb B-12 is at peace but for how long?

After assisting what limited Serco forces where available against overwhelming Itani numbers, I and a few determined Serco managed to destroy the Itani capship. While the Itani found themselves on the defensive without the far forward staging point provided by the Itani capship, they still fielded overwhelming numbers. The Serco somehow managed to deliver massive casualties to the Itani forces none the less. With the Itani capship now in tatters, a few more veteran Serco of the caliber presented against the now destroyed capship, should easily overrun the Itani aggressors in Deneb.

Correction, numbers were pretty even during most of the battles, including at the time of the capship destruction and the ensuing FFA battles you are referring to.

The Itani managed to hold the line. The itani had effective control over Deneb B12 and Deneb system from 16:00gmt yesterday until even now, that is more than 24 hours. Even though, during the FFA battles that ensued the demise of the Itani HAC, Serco forces were briefly holding a beachhead in B12 for very short and limited periods of time, this never exceeded 5 mins and was repeatedly defeated by Itani defenders. Serco were thus not able to penetrate into Deneb System proper for aggressions on any of the station sectors nor the BP sector.

The Itani have re-fielded a HAC in B12, and we continue to patrol Deneb and enforce no-fly zone over the serco. We know SCAR (and ST6) declared war on us, and we are defending our system accordingly. Since we still held the system for 24hrs, the first round of this campaign is a successful victory. As we can see from the record, the massive casualties were on the serco side. I too registered a large number of PKs (double the deaths conceded).

Further, and this should be clear to all pilots and civilians, the aggressors are the serco. Deneb is an itani system, and we were merely patrolling it in a peacekeeping capacity, to defend the itani nation and territory. That is why we are victorious.

ITAN's continued suppression of Deneb's transition to independence is not at all unexpected, and the associated propaganda to blame the Serco for Deneb's withdrawal from the Itani territories is completely unfounded. I applaud the Serco for supporting Deneb's independence, and will be not at all surprised to see other parties present direct (and forceful) support to the Deneb Independence Faction. Fortunately, not all Itani are opposed to Deneb's transition to an independent system, even some that are not even native to Deneb. Any victories claimed by ITAN are temporary at best (,and completely fictitious in many cases). While the Serco where obviously outnumbered (,and strategically handicapped by the Itani HAC), they still managed to inflict significant casualties against the Itani. I myself managed to score as many kills as losses, despite the Serco being outnumbered by about 2 to 1 on average. It was with great regret that other concerns forced me to withdraw, leaving only two Serco combatants to hold off as many as four or more Itani. Should the Serco manage to establish and maintain a HAC in B-12, the Itani will almost certainly cease to contest the sector.

meh, more lies and rubbish from a non-aligned paratrooper / spy. Your reputation undermines what you say.

Actually roda a while after you left, another serco showed up, feenicks, a newb who coulden't even get an svg, and at that time we were facing, spidy, beany baby, tsuga, and harpo.

Kudo's to Feenicks for doing so well agenst so many seasoned players.

As for our losses, nearly half the time I'd not survive the warp animation due to the Dev provided HAC camping the WH. Also ITAN's ability to spray flares without worry of causing friendly fire damage helped them immensely. It was a rare occurrence that I took any fire from other Serco. It will be interesting to see how their tactics change when FF protection is removed.

Finally I'd like to thank all the Serco that came to my help. And thanks to the Itani for giving us a good fight.

And one solo TGFT member doing research in the area who was unaffected by either side's bickering.

Made a patrol of B-12 last evening. IDF Kolon was watching the worm hole. 1 lone serco pilot made his way in Star Buck. I hailed and gave chase through 2 sectors I was able to keep him in sight and get one shot from my flare into his ship as he warped out. Further pursuit was terminated when I was unable to locate him.

Comms Update on Deneb:

The second day of peacekeeping efforts in Deneb were successful, [ITAN] having effective control over Deneb and scoring several victories on Tuesday, despite attempted serco invasions.

A no-fly zone on all serco remains in effect.
Deneb remains safe for all itani, for allied guilds, and for all non-hostile UIT.

We have entered the 3rd day of the campaign, and [ITAN] forces remain on patrol and in control.
