INTREPID EXPLORER FINDS SALLY KOSHUNI'S FINGERNAIL!
Deep Space exploration vessel IDG Rimor was doing a remote survey in Pelatus when a small, bright red fingernail attached itself to the ship's front window. The fingernail has since been identified as belonging to Sally Koshuni, the CNN reporter missing now for several months. No other remains were found. The fingernail will be auctioned next month at Sotheby's Dau. Rumor has it Lebermac may bid on the item, intending to clone Sally and keep her all to himself. CNN executives could not be reached for comment.

This week the ITAN Commander declared war on grey space. Pirates responded by destroying the ITAN HAC IDV Korol. To quote lord spidey: "F*** YOU OMEGA 0."
DENEB RUN CANCELLED INDEFINITELY!
Event organizers threw a right hissy fit Saturday after asking a lone pirate to leave the Corvus Capital in Odia and he refused, instead shooting at the racers. This is the second Deneb Run hissy fit in the last few weeks. The event, originally founded by pirate Martin of Black Lance, ran 113 races before it's unfortunate demise today. Perhaps pirates will take up the reigns again and restore the race to it's former glory? Look for more coverage in the near future.
SPACE AROUND UKARI INFESTED WITH DEADLY SPACE GNATS!
Deadly Space Gnats have recently wreaked havoc on star ship traffic inside the Ukari system. The Gnats, species infernalis Diptera, are apparently attracted to dirt and grime, and are most often reported by PA pilots and unwashed TGFT traders. Experts claim a weekly bath with soap (or any common disinfectant) will keep the baseball sized space bugs from bothering you.
PANIS VIRUS INFECTS AND OVERRUNS GALACTIC COM NETWORK!
The Panis Virus briefly overran com channels and spammed inane commentary for nearly an hour. The Virus, which masquerades as a pilot, can always be identified by having "Panis" in it's name. The com spam showed common forms, such as "Panis of UIT" and "Panis of Itan". Newer forms, such as "Panis of the lemmings", "The Panis Blue", and "The Panis Mightier" also made appearances, among others, leading experts to suggest that the virus may be mutating.

[ITAN] did not "Declare War on Grey Space" - that is shoddy reporting, check your sources.
It makes no sense to "Declare War on Grey Space" for a variety of reasons, the simplest of which is: there is no one single faction or enemy who controls Grey Space. It is unaligned and lawless territory. Of course there are guilds within Grey Space, and that is a whole other question.
[ITAN] has stepped up to the plate to patrol and enforce Peacekeeping in Deneb, which is perfectly within our rights, and this has been largely successful.
It is not Pirates alone that destroyed the IDV Korol; it was a Serco strike force supplemented by 3 Pirates / mercenaries. The Pirates alone would have been unable to destroy the IDV Korol in Deneb. Anyway, in the same period, [ITAN] has pwnd the SMV Nemesis. twice. And we'll do it again.
Other than that, it's fun to read the CNN News. Make sure you uphold the levels of journalism that people expect.

it isnt the "Panis Virus" its "Panis fever" sounds way better and if u wanna know some of the poor people who suffered from it recently, well there was "Panis sanwitch" "Ham on panis" and some others, including my favorite, "Panis Enlargment" which i suggested he keep as a name for his alt. The destruction of the IDV Korol was a confirmed pirate action. Pirates initiated and led the attack on the IDV Korol, beginning with Sharingan and tumblemonster. All the Serco nationalists in the group were also pirate agents recruited by Sharingan and Tumblmonster.
As of this writing, ITAN has yet to replace their failed presence in Deneb B-12, however they do continue to make incursions into Serco space through the B-12 Wormhole. Most experts agree the current wave of attacks are propaganda designed to cover for ITANs massive failure at the loss of the premiere war ship of the Itani Nation.

Actually, taking a partial (edited) quote of Omega 0 out of context does not constitute officially stated [ITAN] Policy or declaration of war. I was there at the time of the exchange, I also have the logs.
I can confirm that [ITAN] did not declare War on Grey Space.
On the Serco strike force, it's quite interesting to hear that the member of [SCAR] and two members of [ST6] were apparently operating under Pirate command; that is not at all the impression given by earlier claims (and posts), by the Serco strike force themselves, that this was a victory for the Serco Dominion (in their own words).
It leaves us wondering, though: are Pirates from Grey space really going to be interfering in itani space, on the itani-serco border? I thought their interest was limited to Grey space ...
Finally, IDV Korol is but a capship, and the itani senate has already commissioned a replacement. The defense of Deneb neither stood nor fell on the IDV Korol alone.
If it rested on capships alone, SCAR, ST6 and other Serco forces would have suffered massive failure at the loss of their capship on several occasions. [ITAN] have the power, technology and skill to destroy the serco capship at will. Apparently the Serco do not have sufficient power to destroy an itani capship... hence the Pirates as mercenaries.
It begs the question: can SCAR and ST6 continue to wage war and make invasions into the peaceful itani nation? Are they even able to defend their border in Geira Rut, and their prized capship?

If its any consolation, I've been stuck at Azek Manufacturing for two years now for outstanding docking fines (at least, so I claim). Being accused of being a virus is a trivial matter by comparison.
Besides that, I use a Mac, and my blood-stream is saturated with military-grade nanites (Union Peace Keeping issue), so even if you are, by some coincidence, a virus, I should be notably immune. ;^p
