Deneb Run #119
We held the 119th Deneb Run today, sponsored by the Makchuga, CDC, and TGFT. (Sorry 'bout no thread in advance, we were unsure if whether there would be one.)
The Racers:
Mick - UIT councilor of PA; often places, usually in first.
Ion Tasokov - UIT; this was his first race.
Amotoma - Itani; this was his first race.
Strat - UIT councilor of The Vipers; races every once in a while.
Teomyrino - UIT member of PA; this was his first race (I think?)
Khalad Celebrial - Serco; this was his first race too.
Riyusone Haro - Serco member of TGFT; he races every once in a while.
DianWei - UIT member of PA; this was his first race as well.
The Results:
Mick | 27:22 | Vulture MKIII, FCPC, no weapons.
Riyusone Haro | 28:45 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FCPC, no weapons.
Strat | 28:54 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FCPC, no weapons.
Teomyrino | 31:18 | TPG Raptor, FCPC, 1x TPG Sparrow Phase Blaster.
Ion Tasokov | 33:25 | UIT Marauder MKI, UCPC, 3x Yellow Jacket Missile Launchers
DianWei | 33:54 | TPG Raptor, HPC, no weapons.
Khalad Celebrial | 34:01 | Hornet MKI, FCPC, no weapons.
Amotoma | DNF | Orion Centurion Rev. C, FCPC, no weapons.
Observations:
1) No pirates! Not even one! Amotoma was downed by an Aerna Seeker whilst in Serco space.
2) Lots of newer players joined in, nice job you all.
3) This was a close race, with Riyusone and Mick head-to-head for much of it, until RH hit a storm.
4) Bloodthirsty racers, too. Riyusone was calling for someone to shoot Mick down for most of the last leg.
5) We had more racers than could fit in a group, so Riyusone Haro broadcast his location manually in TGFT guild chat.
6) Most of the signups came in the last five minutes of registration. I don't mind waiting until the last minute, but it's easier for everyone if you let us know ahead of time.
We'll hold the Run again next week, time to be announced. Let's hope for another turnout this large!

To my defense I killed that seekers brother once! And only now I realize how brave **AHEM**stupid**AHEM** I was choosing the Rev C as my racing vessel. At least I died doing what I love: having my feet up on the dashboard and shaving while flying around in Serco space.
