The Station News (SN) is a news outlet that gathers serious news items from the far reaches of the VO universe and publishes them electronically for retrieval using the PDA.
If you have items that are newsworthy, please post them here. They will be checked for content and, if approved, they will be posted in the Station News. .
A few examples of news worthy items:
-Announcement of live RP events.
-Results of live RP events.
-Major guild transactions.
-Recruitment drives.
-Player guild announcements.

-Personal ads.
-Overly personal attacks (mild faction/guild bias is permitted in RP posts).
-Satire / humor.
-Items which clearly conflict with the back-story.
-Items which may result in confusion (i.e. stories of ships or add-ons that do not exist).
-Overly inflammatory items.

Submission guidelines:
-Maximum 30 lines (excludes publishing instructions).
-Images cannot be displayed.
-The starting times for events should use Greenwich Mean Time to avoid time zone confusion. Use /time in game to see the current GMT.

-Organization responsible for the post:
-Which Factions should see the post: we can set it so you have to be liked by a faction to see the post (Serco, Itani, UIT)
-Relevant dates/times.
-Text.
The guides reserve the right to edit the posts before adding them to the station news.
The guides reserve the right to request that, in the case of semi-editorial content, the actual individual being "quoted" or described post their appoval within this thread.
Posts that are submitted without the proper information will experience processing delays.

If you ever see us hanging around, don't fret to ask for a quick repair! We will gladly oblige to give you a quick repair!

Shefa Feladonen (sheffield) travels to Sky Command today to hear of his fate within the military hierachy. So high is Admiral A-Dawg's stock amongst the powers that be that rumors suggest that sheff may be promoted, given a special mission, or a new command, despite having committed the faux-pas of authorising the Assault Regiment's effective but highly politically disastrous 'interference' of 'nation war' recently.
Meanwhile, contacts are trying to source the whereabouts of Lieutenant Nautargos, tactical leader of that operation, of whom sheffield says 'well, no, actually he is NOT demoted'. SCAR pilots are finding themselves flaunted in miltary bases but shunned in the streets.
Rumors abound regarding the rise to prominence of a new unit, resulting from sightings in Deneb and Ukari. Little is known of the intent or disposition of this force, but that is hardly surprising given how many units the Serco military has. The recent exodus from SCAR, SDF, and VPR by several influential Serco pilots may be related, but this has not yet been confirmed.

On the fringes of what most would consider 'society' a new band of galactic citizens have banded together to forge a new way of life. Tired of the constant burdens that the ancient houses have attempted to force on them this band is cutting a swath through the miles of red tape to gain a new satisfaction in the universe. They welcome all and deny few in their quest to explore the cosmos and all that it has to offer.
