Well, I wish you all the best with starting a guild Syserror. As guilds go TGFT is fairly solid , give me a shout if you need assistance .

Ecka Estenk . Commander , TGFT .

PS TGFT members are Pillars of society in the universe , we eschew ctc , bs and the like. However our relatives are a bunch of drink sodden murderous bandits..... its called vendetta for a reason ....

If you are or not, impavid, is not important to me as long as we can have fun in game.
Jun 18, 2008 SysError link
I appreciate it Ecka, like i said i do not think that tgft is a bad guild, but as you had mentioned you do not allow members participating in the military or ctc missions. It is something I am wanting to get into (being a really cool thing attacking a cap ship). I will probably need some help getting going and I will be glad to do inter-guild events when I have got things running over here.

You're optimistic. that's good to start off with.

Just don't fully discount the voices of the veterans here, even if they're jaded and somewhat mean. They have reasons for it.

Personally, I don't think it'll survive. I tried this thing a couple of times, it falls apart after a month or so.
Jun 18, 2008 SysError link
I am not discounting their advise at all, but since there is nothing here that i have seen that is really matching my needs I fill like there may be others who fill the same. All it takes is persistence and a demonstration that i am not here and gone in a month.

Anyway, shoot me a message sometime in game, trying to get to meet new people and play some of the different aspects of the game. Would love to get into a good group for a ctc or border skirmish. Maybe even invite a medic or so.

Oh also, just re-installed AliceBot on my forums. She is right now using my nick 'mannick' so some of the responses are going to sound odd so i will be creating another account for myself and post via that. She even includes a pm feature. Anyway, neat little bot and ill be working on teaching her a bit about the vo universe.

I wasn't trying to be "jaded and mean". I will be happy to offer assistance and advice to any new friendly players or guilds that come along, as always.

"...there is nothing here that i have seen that is really matching my needs..."

What's wrong with PA, if you don't mind me asking? They're a friendly guild that does a bit of everything and coheres as a group.
Jun 18, 2008 SysError link
There is nothing wrong with PA, i just dont know them, i have tried contacting one of their guys and have not got a reply back. I know you were not trying to be mean, neither am I. I would not have a problem talking with PA, but why are you so set on me not working to start this guild up? I mean its my time and energy if i do it and it fails, then I probably will join another guild, but I would at least like to try.

Like I said, I was trying to be helpful. I don't have a problem with you starting a new guild. However, you claimed that there are no guilds that have what you want. I have mentioned several guilds that do have what you are looking for, both active and not-so active (for a reason). I also explained why it's not a good idea to start a new guild when guilds already exist that have the same purpose/mission/role, both for you and for the community. As someone who runs a guild, it's not easy to attract new members with such a small player-base. It's even harder when there are dozens of little start-up guilds with the same or very similar role trying to scoop up members on their own, only to fizzle out after a few weeks.

My sentiments here are not aimed solely at you, but to new players in general. It's sort of like when vets have to tell new players to post their "new" ideas in existing threads rather creating new ones. There's a reason. Anyway, I don't want to argue. I really do wish you the best of luck with your guild. I'm sure we will have a good relationship. It was just some advice.

I appreciate it LeberMac. It is good to see that the pirates are not afraid of a little competition(or more victims(not sure which)). Maybe we can do a bit more than just the pirate/victim thing also. Would love to setup some in game races or who knows what other type of competitions we could get going.

Maybe we can do a bit more than just the pirate/victim thing also.

When he sends you a message in-game asking that you meet him at a coffee shop, Leber... just say No.

Well, to all of the detractors who said it could not be done, i say it has been done. Rassalhague Free Republic has been formed and ratified. We welcome inter-guild relationships to promote the enjoyment of the game. We will start having weekly events for guild members, but will be more than glad to invite other guilds to join in on the fun. To find out more about some of our events you can visit the guild website at http://funflashgame.info/rfr

We thank you again for the challenge to create a new guild and to build a better gaming environment for all new players.

Erm, you've quite missed the point, again. Gathering the 10 signatures to form a guild is quite easy. Having it survive for more than a month and actually do something is not quite as easy.
