When I was in the army, I saw people having problems with sentences composed of less than 5 words. That is especially fun when it pertains to live handgrenade handling and you're standing next to the recruit.

You don't want to have people learn sentences by heart only to find that they do not really know what they mean and have to decipher that meaning in combat, where 'dog eats dog' replaces many things almost immediately, because rules are overblown.

Please note that I have the best of interests for your RoE at heart, they just have to be *simpler*.
